I did use them for a 3 way bathroom application using a Fantech Fan. The hook up is not like a 3 way switch. Basically you are just putting them in parallel. In one box I had the power wires and the 3 way wires. In the other box I had the 3 way wires and the fan wires. Just re-wired it for a parallel connection. Been several years now and no issues. The only thing is when you push the button in one room and the little led lights up, it wont be lit in the other room.It only lights on the switch where you push the button. Hope this helps.

Your timer can be programmed to function as any of the timers in the table below: Timer Switch Number Buttons Time outs LTB02 1 (top timer button) 15m, 30m, 1hr, 2hr LTB12 1 (top timer button) 2, 4, 8, 12 hours LTB60 2 10, 20, 30, 60 minutes LTB30 3 5, 10, 15, 30 minutes LTB15 4 (bottom timer button) 2, 5,10,15 minutes NOTE: If you change the ON times of your timer the printed face will no longer match the ON times. A timer change kit should be purchased to alleviate this situation. To select different on times please follow the subsequent steps: 1. Press and hold the 1st and 3rd timer buttons to enter Select Timer Mode. 1st is the top button, 3rd is the middle button. 2. The current active Timer LED will flash green to indicate the device is in Select Timer Mode. 3. Press the button (from the table above) corresponding with the time outs you desire. 4. The new Timer button will briefly flash to demonstrate the timer mode chosen. 5. Pressing the OFF button will save programming and exit programming mode. The timer will also exit programming mode automatically if no buttons are pressed for 3 minutes. Seems like a straight forward process. Went right into programming mode when I tried it on mine. Good Luck!

Yes, I installed one on a bath fan a few weeks ago and it works great. I can select the time I want the fan to run so it keeps getting the moisture out after I have left the room. Love it!

The timer needs the neutral wire in order to run. Otherwise it is unable to get power. You can see this in the wiring diagrams in the installation instructions.

Can it be shut off before the set time expires, or must it run out?

Yes it can be shut off early if you press the bottom button with no time printed on it. That is the switch interrupt button.

Would this timer fit in a regular size box that a light switch would fit into?

This takes much more space than a single pole light switch. It is best used in a deep gang box, however I have installed 5 of these in 2 houses replacing single pole switches. I will require having a switch cover with a rectangular opening and the wiring in the box will have to allow room for the timer. It can be a bit tricky, but I have yet to not be able to make it fit.

Is this ok to use on a 1500 watt quartz heater?

It is rated up to 1800 Watts so it should be fine to use with your heater. For complete peace of mind, contact an engineer at Leviton for confirmation.

The box lists CFL & LED. Not sure about neutral wire question. In most applications your white wire is the neutral.

This is a replacement. I had this exact timer for about 3 years and the old one started the clicking when turned on. I like the function and looks of this switch. So I replaced it with the taksame one.

Bought 2 of these for use on bathroom fans. One with a light the other without. Install I thought was fairly easy but I have some electrical experience and was replacing single pole switches with these. Nice that they come with 3 different colored plates. They have worked as expected to leave fans running after leaving bathrooms. Standard rocker style switch plate fits this.

Does the job. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is due to size. It probably needs to be as big as it is but make sure you have room in your junction box. I put it in a 3 switch box and it was a bit crowded.
