White 2-Gang 1-Decorator/Rocker/1-Duplex Wall Plate (1-Pack)

I needed the standard size because the midway size was too big, but paying three times as much for a standard size that was not available in store was not an option. I purchased three midway sizes intending to discover by the third time how to successfully trim a wall plate. My first attempt to trim the wall plate with a 60 tooth miter saw finishing blade resulted in the material cracking. My second and successful attempt was made using a segmented wood blade on my M12 oscillating tool using a medium to medium-high speed with near perfect precision with all credit given to the tool and not my craftsmanship. Now I have an extra wallplate that I will likely never use because I have never encountered a 2 gang outlet with one standard device and one decora device before. Home Depot needs to make the standard size available because of its namesake. Because of that, one star had to be deducted.

Used this with a non-grounding duplex receptacle and blank-face GFCI to retrofit a bathroom receptacle with GFCI protection where this is no grounding.

The Decora 2-Gang Midway 1-Duplex Outlet Combination Nylon Wall Plate is good looking, strong and functional The Decora 2-Gang Midway 1-Duplex Outlet Combination Nylon Wall Plate, White, Model # R52-PJ826-00W, is a functional, good looking, easy to install, and tough wall plate. While I haven’t tested Leviton’s claims of “unbreakable”, the Nylon wall plate is definitely stronger, more flexible, and more resilient than the cheaper plastic plates (though still quite inexpensive) And the “Midway” (Medium) size is great for covering slightly larger than standard junction boxes or damaged plaster around the box. Refer to the pictures for a side-by-side comparison with a regular size wall plate. Be aware that the Nylon is slightly more shiny than the plain plastic covers, so if you have others nearby, you’ll want to get all the same (again, refer to the picture to see the different sheen). This happens to be a “combo” plate, intended to fit an outlet paired with a flat-plate switch, but Home Depot carries other Leviton Decora variations (dual outlets, dual switches, conventional toggle switches, etc). Whichever you need, they’re all good choices. Note: We received this item free from Home Depot’s “Seeds” program. Home Depot only asked that we provide an honest review.

I've used these plates from Leviton time and again with good results. The plastic plates have just enough give to allow easy installation without cracking. The configurations are endless whether you're mixing styles with different functions or colors. Mine included a small rectangular hole for an on/off switch and the more modern large rectangular hole for a USB receptacle.

it is a versatile product, its usage is only limited by your imagination. they can be painted to the color, texture, or design your looking for. the plastic is easy to cut, I have been using this product for quite a while. works great for my purposes.

While the Decora line generally seems overpriced to me, this particular plate is a noteworthy exception. If you have a line-voltage box (outlets, switches) and want to add a low-voltage device, Home Depot sells a clip-on low voltage box that will allow you to leave the line-voltage box undisturbed. I am more than comfortable working with line-voltage devices, but the wiring is often difficult to work with and may have little slack to reconnect. So any chance to avoid the hassle seems great to me! However, there are few wall plates that are intended to connect both line- and low-voltage within the same box. The decora plates are the exception, as there are adapters for video, audio, and quickport connectors (phone, cable, network, etc.) so the decora outlet can be used for almost anything that you might want to attach beside a light switch or line-voltage receptacle. In my case, I discovered that the installer of my garage door ran the 12v wires through a line-voltage box and simply wedged them between the drywall and the faceplate. Obviously this is not the preferred wiring method, so I added a low-voltage clip-on box and used this faceplate with a decora quickport adapter to correct the improperly installed wiring. Without the Decora plates, no faceplate would have aligned with the screw holes to cover the hybrid outlet, so it was well worth the cost to me!
