A:  No this pump does not come kitted with a hose; just the pump.       A:  Anthony I am sorry for the delay as what my catalogs indicated did not match what the pictures showed. Thus I wanted to get one in hand before I answered you. The pump has a 1/4" male thread discharge. But it comes with a valve you screw on to that discharge that has a barb on the other side. The barb has a double tapper. So you have the option of 3/8 or 1/2 inside diameter tubing. If you use the smaller the velocity of the discharge will be higher than if you use 1/2. The same way the water shoots further when you put your thumb over the end of a hose.

        A:  The volute intake of this pump must be below the water level with the remainder of the unit mounted above water.

          Didn't last 3 years
          a little disappointed that this pump only lasted 2 and a half years or so. A fountain that you can control the flow volume would be helpful.
