About This Product

Loctite Epoxy Quick Set is a resilient, permanent two-part adhesive consisting of an epoxy resin and a hardener for large or multi-piece projects that require the highest bonding strength. When mixed in equal volumes with the convenient dual-syringe applicator, the resin and hardener react to produce a tough, rigid, high strength bond that sets in just 5 minutes and fully cures in 24 hours. Loctite Epoxy Quick Set can be used as an adhesive for a wide range of materials or as a versatile filler for gap filling, surface repairs and laminating. It does not shrink and is resistant to water and most common solvents. Loctite Epoxy Quick Set can be tinted with earth pigments, cement or sand for color matching and can be sanded and drilled. Loctite Epoxy Quick Set is versatile and can be used as an adhesive for a wide range of materials like tile, wood, metal, ceramic, glass, and most plastics.

      Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for the question. Loctite Epoxy Quick Set may or may not work on rigid PVC depending on the nature of the project. For example: if the intent is for plastic pipe welding, then this product would not be suitable. We recommend testing it first before starting the project.

          Holds strong
It has held together a metal part that broke and is taking a few weeks to get a new one in. I am surprised it has held this long. The part is such that it can't be welded so gluing was the only option. The product give you plenty of time to work with it. On the flip side of that it can be difficult to hold pieces together for the necessary amount of time, which for me was about 7 minutes rather than 5 as the instructions advise. This could be due to temperature and humidity. I do prefer the Epoxy that comes with the mixing nozzles even though they are only one time use so it was a little bit frustrating to work without a nozzle, but overall an impressive product.

          Works perfectly !
This particular one works really well. Best feature is that the epoxy is in two parts which are stored in two separate tubes. That way - you can mix up the amount you want and save the rest. I've bought all-in-one epoxies before and wind up throwing out tubes that are mostly unused because they harden once opened. This one has kept fresh and comes with a small cap for the end that plugs up the two parts separately. Really well designed. Have used multiple times over several weeks and never had a problem. Have used for rope (see pic), plastic and rubber.

          Great adhesive
Product works great! Very easy to use, just 2 things to note for beginners... First, make sure to pull back on the plunger when you’re nearing the amount you want... similar to caulking in that it will continue to come out as it’s under pressure. Second, is smells a bit odd once you’ve mixed it... just a heads up.

          Good buy
I used this quick set epoxy to glue a piece of interior auto trim back on. It worked Ok I did tape it with masking tape and let it set for 24 hours. I believe it is there to stay. The epoxy is clear set and it looked like the part came that way after it set up.

          Surprised by Loctite
Used many 2 part epoxies. This one really does stink. The other poor reviews I echo the same sentiment. Really disappointing. It does stick fingers together well.

          Did the job
I used this to glue a nail shank to a plastic sun visor mirror cover. The cover hing broke and this is a homemade fix that has held up. Had my doubts when I read about this fix because of the strength that would be needed to hold the shank in place but it worked Let it dry 24 hrs.

Super strong. Bonds to all surfaces. Very convenient dispenser system. Much better than tubes.

Good epoxy bad way to dispense
Epoxy holds well but trying to dispense an even amount is almost impossible and I estimate I wasted half the product attempting to do so. One side was fairly liquid and the other much thicker. When you push the plunger down the liquid half flows freely but the other part struggles to come out. This is my second try with this product with the same problem so will stick to separate tubes next time.
