MMI DOOR Majestic Steel Front Door unit comes with a 10 year Warranty on the door component, a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the prehung MSystem, a 10 year glass lite warranty and a 10 year warranty on the painted finish of the pre-hung door component. All of our Majestic Steel doors are galvanized to resist rust and corrosion, are comprised of 24-Gauge, high quality steel with 22-Gauge steel stiles and rails for additional strength and security and come with a one-piece, high density polystyrene core delivering excellent insulation allowing it to meet or exceed current energy code standards. Nominal door size is 36 in. x 80 in. Unit dimension is 37.5 in. x 81.75 in. The suggested rough opening is 38 in. x 82.25 in. This unit comes with a 4-9/16 in. wide primed FrameSaver frame.
  • 24-Gauge galvanized steel with 1-piece polystyrene core

  • Door comes painted black on both the exterior and interior frame and brickmould are primed, ready to be painted the finish of your choosing
  • Right-hand/inswing
  • When viewed from the exterior of the home, a right-hand/inswing has the hinges on the right, the knob on the left and swings into the home
  • Door and frame are prepped for both entry knob and deadbolt 2-1/8 in. bore diameter with 2-3/4 in. backset (locks sold separately)
  • Will meet or exceed federal guidelines for energy efficiency (where and if applicable)

Q:What is the size of the windows and the length of the space between the windows?

A:  The glass inserts are 22" x 10" and the space between the trim around each glass insert is 5".

    Q:Is it easy to replace a section of glass after we buy it? We would like for our dogs to be able to see out the bottom.

    A:  Though it is possible to replace the glass inserts, we can not recommend trying to change the glass in this door after purchase.

        Very Happy
        I’m very pleased with how the door looks. The pink is much brighter in person and the paint job was smooth and done well. I had a hard time deciding between the pink and Bahama Blue but am happy with how the pink looks with our green house.

          Disappointing
          The hinges on the frame side are set in but are not inset in the door but are surface mounted. When we finally got it installed, we noticed that the windows were slightly off...in other words they leaned ever so slightly to the right (as measured from the top of the door top of first window was 1/4" lower on the right then on the left. Much prefer the quality of door (and how it was packaged for shipment) from Steve and Sons that was purchased at the exact same time.

            Do not buy this door for installation in Texas!
            Door arrived without the energy star rating label/sticker which the state inspector (in Texas) is required to see. I called the vendor and was informed that they do not put the energy star rating label sticker on any their doors.
