Overall, I am very pleased with the tile. I just finished putting it in my bathroom on the floor and around the shower. It looks beautiful! However, the larger pieces were difficult to handle on the wall. If I had it to do again, I would have just used it on the floor and gotten something different for the shower walls. It took a lot of mortar to adhere them to the walls and because they were so heavy they slid down into the decorative boarder so I had to remove the upper pieces and wait for the boarder to dry before putting them in. The floor worked out great. My only concern at this point is keeping it clean with all the pock marks through out.

total garbage
This stuff is literally crumbling away beneth our feet. Every single tile has holes in it after one year of walking on it in our socks. Its so sensitive to chemicals that if you spill wine or toilet cleaner, it will leave a stain or dull spot. We put in 600 sq feet and two years later we are removing all of it to go with marble. $6000 literally tossed in the garbage. Do not buy this stuff for flooring

Great product! Someone said “think castle” and that’s exactly what it looks like. I was going for a Tuscany look for my kitchen and I’m very happy. Those who gave one star really needed to look at the pictures. If that isn’t what you’re going for then don’t buy it. It’s exactly like the pictures. I used a sandstone beige grout for the grout lines and holes in the stones and it’s perfect. Three pallets so far and no breakage.

I deducted one star for poor packaging. The product itself is great. Unfortunately each kit was wrapped with cardboard covering only the edges. All the top pieces in each kit are exposed. Whoever packaged the kits for shipment wrapped a very sticky packing tape around all the kits so every top tile in each kit was covered in sticky residue when we took the packing tape off. It was a pain to get it off. We tried "goo gone" but because the tile is so porous I didn't want the smell of "goo gone" penetrating the stone, so painstakingly had to scrub the sticky residue off the tile before it could be grouted and sealed.
We grouted it with Polyblend Sanded Grout in Earth tone and it turned out great. Notice the pictures before and after grout. The color change in the tile itself is very dramatic because of how porous the stone is. If I wanted to keep the light color of the stone I would fill each tile with light color grout first, then lay it down and only after that I would do the dark grout for the seams.

Tile installer said on a quality scale of 1-5 he would give it a 4. He stated the color consistency was not as he uniform as he would like. For the price for me, the variations in color are to be expected. Tile was laid in a Palace Versailles pattern with a 1/8 inch grout joint and grouted with Marpei sanded Bone colored grout. Pics are of small bath before grout and after. Third pic is of larger area before grouting.

Good value for the price
We picked up one pallet at the local HomeDepot. The travertine is from Turkey, packaging is adequate, only 3 tiles had broken corners. 150 tiles, 16x16 1/4" thick. Our tile guy cut 100 of them into 5.25x16 (3 pcs) and covered the four walls (niche, bench and shelf) included in the bathroom. Floor used the same full size tile with a cross pattern. His comments: 1) Very fragile 2) highly Porous 3) the corners were squared but the thickness was inconsistent 4) good job on the quarry hole fill and quarry polish, but had to be cleaned 5) you can find good pieces to bullnose.
Had about 10% attrition rate, some pieces just fell apart. 1/16 grout lines, used 'buttercream' color as a little as possible emphasis on the grout.
This our 3rd travertine bathroom, first two had premium at 3x the cost. Once the stuff is on the walls is all looks good.

Positively love this tile!!
This is absolutely beautiful in my half bath!! Love the pattern! We had our walls tiled from ceiling to floor with this and the color matched my travertine floor almost perfectly! There were very few broken pieces and I had to order 3 pallets to have enough for my walls. I do wish you could get it in smaller quantities and not have to order a whole pallet, but I will find something to do with the leftover pieces. I'm thinking I want my utility room wall done with this now!
