I had a 10 v Mikita till I burned the...
I had a 10 v Mikita till I burned the brushes out, I really missed it when I was assembling my wood projects. The head is small enough to get into tight places. The drill chuck makes the tool too long. It’s a great little drill and driver.

Not enough power
Makita just won't get behind the 12V CXT platform. They leave outdated tools in the market long after the competition has moved on. Milwaukee, Bosch and Hilti have brushless 12V screwdrivers. I'm a woodworker and appreciate the light weight and ergonomics of the Makita 12V tools. The brushless 12V drill has enough torque me. But this screwdriver struggles drilling pocket holes in poplar with a kreg jig. It isn't small in comparison to today's brushless tools. No I don't recommend it and don't recommend the Makita 12V CXT platform anymore.

I took the machine out of the box to use and nothing was there to screw the screw? What was that? Who sales a machine that is to help and no be complete. I purchased a electric saw and when it came I could us it. If it didn't have blades what was I to have done with it. Horrible manufacturing mistake, it had to be.

This is a SCREWDRIVER, not an impact. Good quality tool. Assuming you know what the application is.
For the other review here, the reason that this is weak is because it is not a drill, hammer drill, sds drill, impact driver, or impact wrench. For $64 you are getting a precision tool (AKA Screwdriver). It's like calling a butter knife "Dull". Have you ever buttered your toast with a butcher knife and said, "This is no good, it cut right through my bread, what a piece of junk." Know what you are buying before you buy and review. Search for Makita 12v CXT Impact Driver and pay for THAT tool.
This is a very nice, well made, precision tool that fits nicely in the hand by a company that knows their tools. Perfect for lower torque tasks like electronics or computer work or light screwdriving. This is not an impact driver to build a house, deck, or fencing. Quality tool for the price. It Will last just about forever.
