The magnet has more attraction that the first time you met your wife. The hook would make a Jeff Lynne song proud.

My wife and I bought several of the 65# Magnets to use as clothes hangers on a Cruise! Most Cruise Ships have metal walls and are often very short on hanging storage so we gave this a shot and it worked great. I advise using the 65# Magnetic Hooks as they hold a full day's worth of clothing without sliding down the wall. We shared the idea with a couple we were cruising with and when we returned home, sent them several that we purchased at our local Home Depot, (Highway 280 Store/Birmingham, AL). I have only been on one cruise (this one) but having the extra hanging spaces certainly made accessing our clothing and not having it wrinkled from staying in a suitcase a real time saver. We are going on another cruise in May and will have our faithful Home Depot magnets stowed in our luggage for more ease of access. Probably will carry some extras on this next cruise to give to people we meet as it far exceeded our wildest expectations! I will probably get shot for attaching this photo of my beautiful wife of 43 years (this was an Anniversary Cruise) but it is the only one that shows the hooks in use...Thanks Home Depot for making and enjoyable cruise even MORE enjoyable!

Great to take on a cruise!
I've taken these on cruises for a couple of years now. All walls and ceilings are metal and we used them to hang hats, makeup mirrors, binoculars... They definitely hold more weight when hung from the ceiling. They are great on the wall too, but will slide a little before reaching 20 lbs. (Although I did leave the thin pad on to protect the walls. Should hold tighter without the pad.) These are one of the first things I pack for my cruise.

Great little magnet holding my extension cords and an air hose with no problem paired with the small Husky Hangall straps to wrap them up. Will be getting me a couple more on next visit to the store.

I sold a large photographic image on plywood that weighed about 40#. It was to be installed in a renovated mill complex apartment with exposed steel beams at the ceiling. I draped two wires from these magnets from the vertical face of the I-beam to complete the installation above the sofa.

This little product does the extraordinary, these days: it exceeds expectation, and it is inexpensive. The magnet is powerful. I used it to hang an ornamental plate on my kitchen appliance. I've bought four of these, to use in various locations, on fridges, washing machines, etc, to hold the obvious stuff like potholders. They're strong, secure, well-made, and very inexpensive. What more can you want??

I wasn’t sure by the picture if this magnet was the one that’s the size of a nickel and falls apart. Rest assured. It is not! This magnet is heavy duty as described and fits the bill.

We tried to use two of these to mount a 4 pound manifold for the interior of a commercial kegerator. When placing these on two magnetic rails, the 4 pound manifold immediately slid to the floor. There is no way one of these holds 65 pounds. Too lazy to return this, but will never buy anything from this brand again
