I live in Texas. Not enough info? LOL Well, needless to say, it gets some kinda hot here...and humid...and miserable sometimes. Therein lies the need for air conditioning or moving air. I already have one in my way to big shop and found myself working in a small area, under the moving air. So, with the addition of this fan, I can now direct the crosswinds to cover the entire shop. VOILA! cured what ailed the ol hotbox. Best part for me is the 3 speeds and ease of the install. The old fan was like lifting an anvil to hang it up high, new technology is a wonderful thing. This one was a breeeeze to hang. see what I did there?

This is a very well made, substantial fan to use outdoors or in a shop. I have been looking for a fan to mount outside on our covered deck. This met our needs to a tee!! It has some weight to it, so It needs to be mounted on a stud or something similar. It provides a good amount of circulation to help keep our deck cooler during those hot summer days.

MaxxAir 18 in. 3-Speed High Velocity Wall or ceiling Mount Fan with 2-Blades that works great in my garage pushing up to 3500 CFM on High and I can easily feel the breeze 24 feet away even on low speed. It is much quieter than I expected for with this type of fan and it also meets the requirements
for use in Agricultural Areas. It has an enclosed motor for a longer life. Ready to use right out of the box just use a 3/8 x 2 inch lag bolt in the center hole of the mounting bracket to secure it to the wall or ceiling then plug it in to a 120 volt outlet. This has a 1 Year Limited Warranty.

If you want to move some serious air, the Maxx Air 18" 3-Speed High Velocity Wall-Mount Fan is for you. This quality, USA made fan can handle large spaces. With a maximum of 3,500 CFM, speed #1 should be adequate for most spaces under 500 square feet. Speed #3 would be sufficient to move plenty of air in an entire open building such as a barn or small warehouse. The only criticisms that I can identify are the relatively high price-point and the fan is rather noisy. It's not a good fit for noise-sensitive spaces...but - then again - it's not made for the living room. It's definitely more of a shop fan and most shops aren't too noise-sensitive. All in all; I'm very happy with it.

Just in time for the hottest February on record and my used up 20" box fan was on its last legs aended up put in the trash bin, the 18" 3-speed high velocity wall mount fan with 2 blades arrives fully assembled. This lase week felt like summer in the garage work space. The fan worked right out of the box.
My work space is long and narrow and i located the fan on the far end and even there this fan sounded like a swamp air boat. That is the only con that I could fling. The 2 blade prop is designed to move air and thus is an odd shape. The first speed setting on the fan is OK for me, as it moves enough air to keep me comfortable. I had to turn up the radio volume just to hear the songs. I recommend this fan for cooling your space.
