Answer This Question

A:  Never use water to clean filter. Tap clean or blow dirt off with compressed air. Water will cause filter to fail. - Milwaukee Tool, Social Team

A:  You can't wash it unfortunately, but I found I could get it pretty clean using an air compressor (do it outside - it traps a lot more than you would think). You can also vacuum it out with a separate shop vac, but air compressor was always my preference.

A:  I haven?t used my cord free yet so haven?t cleaned it. For others I have held them in a large wheeled trash container with cover closed as much as possible. I then tap and rotate the filter against the inside wall.

A:  1. Air hose both directions for most debris. 2. Then I quick rinse it down/off with the sprary faucet. Not too hard to damage filter fins. 3. Thorough dry

Works great but doesn’t last long, needs to be cheaper?

I wanted to make sure I have the extra filter when it's time to replace the old. It's easier to clean the filter if you use a air compressor to blow out all the fine dust and debris. It does keep the finer dust in and not blow out during operation of vacuum. I highly recommend having an extra filter in stock. Great buy...

              Good filter, too pricey though
These are good filters for your Milwaukee canister vac. I usually get 20 hours or so of dirty conditions before it chokes up and there is a substantial loss of performance. That is withnlight dust and misc cleanup duties like cleaning the carpets in your car. Heavy use results in quick plugging. If I have a drywall job, I will use these for small projects but will default to a lesser vac with a bag filter as these do not perform well for longterm use on fine dust. They can be cleaned, bit I notice a 25% drop off in performance. Given the exspense of the filters, I only use these indoors on general purpose projects.
