Q:Can jigsaw blades be used in this saw?

      Answer This Question

A:  No, jigsaw blades cannot be used in this saw. We recommend pairing this tool with reciprocating saw blades.

      by|Mar 24, 2023

        A:  I don't think so

        by|Jun 9, 2023

A:  No. There are Sawzall blades available that are similar in shape to a Jigsaw blade (narrow and able to make fine turns) but still have a Sawzall base. Regular jigsaw blades will not fit.

            Answer This Question

A:  Yes the Larger M12 batteries can be used on this but it really only effects the run time which will be longer, not so much the power, at least I haven't seen much difference, your milage may vary!

A:  Hi Ved! You can use any M12 battery on any M12 product. Typically, you will get a longer run time using the larger AH battery.

Milwaukee M12 FUEL 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/2 in. Drill Driver Kit with 4.0Ah and 2.0Ah Battery and Soft Case
Milwaukee M12 FUEL 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/2 in. Drill Driver Kit with 4.0Ah and 2.0Ah Battery and Soft Case review: I needed a light weight but powerful drill (not a hammer drill) to use when drilling above my head in a garage to replace drywall. I had been using my hammer drill but after 15 minutes of use it just was too heavy to continue. Enter this drill. It is powerful and not too heavy. I like using the 2.0 amp hour battery as it is lighter and makes the tool easier to hold and use. The chuck is metal so it will last a long time. The ONLY thing I do not like is the same for all M-12 tools - the extreme difficulty of removing the batteries. The batteries are robust and last a long time. I like this tool and it is very useful and you can use this for extended periods of drilling and attaching screws. You should be aware that all Milwaukee tools are robust and can withstand drops onto concrete and other abuse and still function perfectly! Glad I got it. There ya go!

                Compact, Yet Powerful
I like the size and weight of this M12 drill. It gas the power too. It has 400in/lbs of torque, up to 1,550rpms and weighs 2.5lbs with the 2.0 battery. If you need more run time it comes with the 4.0ah battery too. It has a two speed selector switch and a smooth variable speed trigger. The chuck is 1/2" giving it an overall length of 5.95". My collection of M12 tools keep growing. These are surprisingly strong and dependable. It has a torque selector collar so that you can set it to the particular fasteners and material that you're working with. It's great for preventing over-tightening of fasteners. I like the space and weight that is saved with these, but the power is still there. This set includes a canvas bag, charger, a CP2.0 and XC4.0ah battery and of course the drill/driver. Don't let its size fool you. The tool has a 5 year warranty, the XC4.0 3 years and the CP2.0 a 2 year warranty. Read the manual and get the most satisfaction out of your tool. It is a powerful little drill/driver.

                Most Compact Yet
This new Milwaukee 12-volt drill driver is their most compact yet. I have an earlier model Milwaukee 12-volt drill that’s nearly 1.5 inches longer. But the small size doesn’t mean small power. My acid test was an old,1-inch spade bit (that may be on the dull side) through solid 3/4” hickory. This Milwaukee with both the included batteries (2A-hr and 4A-hr) compared favorably with a competitor’s 20-volt/2A-hr setup in terms of power, torque and time to drill through. Very high quality tool!

                Exceeded my expectations
I wanted a drill to be able to take to craft classes I teach to be able to drill into wood pieces. It needed to be compact, cordless and lightweight. I couldn't have asked for better. First---the case this drill set comes in is primo. It's sturdy, the inside has a mesh pocket on one side to hold the manuals and anything else you may want to use it for (drill bit case), there are elastic bands and a velcro strap to hold the drill, the charger, and the two batteries in place. On the drill itself there's a battery gauge, a belt hook, forward and reverse button, speed selector (1 or 2), and a torque setting. The chuck is conveniently, keyless. And to make this sweeter yet--the drill has a light on it that stays on while the drill is in use. The included manuals, one for the drill and one for the charger are well written and easy to understand. The case is 14"x9"x3.5". I couldn't be more pleased with this drill kit and I very highly recommend it.

Plenty of Power with just 12 volt, but you need a very strong grip to change the battery
I love the small size. This is a subcompact drill/driver but it packs full-size power, and the all metal chuck and clutch will survive lots of abuse. The back half is plastic, but it feels well balanced even with the smaller 2Ah battery installed. It stands on its end with either battery. The small form factor already came in handy for fastening some very narrow cabinets. In fact, I removed the belt clip to make it easier to maneuver in this very cramped space. I will never use it, but the belt clip can be mounted on either side of the drill. The keyless chuck is easy to use and provides a satisfying locking click. The LED light is well positioned to illuminate the workspace, and the LED battery gauge displays the battery life remaining every time you pull the trigger. The battery life seems good; I have drilled 40+ holes and driven in 40+ #8 wood screws and the 2Ah battery still has two out of 4 LEDs lit. This drill/driver definitely lives up to my expectations for a powerful and durable Milwaukee tool, but two things I don’t like are the sound, and removing the battery. This drill sounds a little louder and has a higher pitched whine than my older drill/driver (which is not a Milwaukee). Even though I love this drill/driver, I find removing either battery extremely difficult. It is obvious where the clips are located, and I can depress them sufficiently, but the battery still won’t slide out of the tool. I think that, up inside the drill/driver there are two prongs and three spring metal loops on the battery that are so tightly wedged in that they create a lot of resistance. It is not possible to charge the battery with it inside the tool so this is almost a deal breaker for me. I had to get a friend to hold the driver while I pulled on the battery to get it out. I don’t think a burly construction worker would notice the extra friction, but as an older DIY user, my slightly arthritic grip is not strong enough to pull the battery out of the tool. I am hoping it will get easier with use. The soft case is also high quality. The Milwaukee and M12 logos are embroidered, not painted, on both sides of the bag. I was also surprised how much I like the oversized, circular zipper pull. The velcro straps hold the driver and the charger securely, and the driver fits in the case even with the battery installed. I keep all my chargers and extra batteries in a specific area so I removed the charger and strapped a second drill/driver in its place. The case is roomy enough to add a small case of driver bits, 2 drill blocks and a few common drill bits. However, I don’t like the elastic straps provided to hold the batteries. It is quite difficult to wiggle the batteries into the loops so I don’t use them. I use the velcro straps to hold the drivers with a drill block between the handle and the outer edge of the bag (see photos). Then I just kind of stack the driver and drill sets, and a third battery in the middle. I don’t stack my tool cases so I definitely prefer soft cases. They are more comfortable to carry, a little more forgiving when imperfectly loaded, and less likely to mar your shelf, drawer or SUV interior. If I need to stack things,I use rigid milk crates, plastic bins, or shelves.

                Handy Tool
This is a great sized tool for those jobs that come up around the house on on the job site. It is light but powerful. I was able to drive a sheet rock screw into a piece of wood as far as the bit would go!! A lot of power for a small drill!! The build in belt clip allows you to have a drill handy for those one-man jobs! The kit comes with a case containing the drill, two batteries, and a charger. I consider this to be a tool that I will use for many years.

                Great introduction to Milwaukee
I’m pretty new to the Milwaukee system, but I like trying different tools and having a nice variety of options for various projects. This is a great start to the system with a compact drill and driver kit. I was surprised at how small and light the driver was, especially when compared to other drills I own. I also like how the batteries are just as compact which keeps the weight of the tool down also. It’s also quite powerful and has no problem driving screws or drilling into wood. So far I’m quite impressed and I’m looking forward to trying other tools in the M12 system.

                Great Drill
I also have a 3/8 M12 drill which was a little weak in low speed. I tried driving a pretty large bit with it and the gears stripped. This seems like it has the torque for bigger bits. But in high speed it turns almost 2000 rpm. Seems like a better all around drill than the 3/8. The chuck is also metal, not plastic like most chucks these days. Having both the big and small 12V battery is nice. The carrying case also has straps to hold everything in place. That is also nice. No downsides so far. I also like the belt clip Milwaukee puts on their drills and drivers. Keeps the tool within easy reach.

                Jammed Up
Tool jammed up so the blade cannot be removed. The release collar is supposed to turn freely to release the blade but it completely jammed up and now the tool is junk! Of course it is outside the warranty period cutoff.
