The Milwaukee M12 FUEL 5/8 in. SDS Plus Rotary Hammer Kit provides up to 75% faster drilling, up to 70% less vibration and up to 2X more runtime and the largest SDS Plus bit capacity in its class. Milwaukee has combined its exclusive POWERSTATE Brushless Motor, REDLITHIUM Battery Pack and REDLINK PLUS Intelligence to deliver users optimized performance, overload protection and superior pack construction. The electro-pneumatic design allows for drilling of up to 5/8 in. holes in concrete and masonry. At only 10 in. L and 3.9 lbs., this tool provides performance and runtime that is comparable to a much larger tool, at a fraction of the size and weight. AWESOME Tool!!!
Sometimes a regular hammer drill just does not get the job done, regardless of the volts it has; and I’m definitely not knocking on the M12 nor M18 hammer drills. When that happened to me, I when ahead with purchasing the next level up M12 SDS-Plus Rotary hammer! NOW this gets the job done, tons of power turning and chipping at concrete, smooth, not as much vibration as I thought it would have! I also paired it with the M12 Hammervac, WHAT A COMBO! No debris flying all over the place, breathing that stuff in! Keeps you and the persons arohnd you safe, while maintaining the jobsite clean!

My main reason for buying this tool was for the offset drive attachment. The other attachments were a bonus. A lot of my work involves driving fasteners that are tight up against a wall and there is minimal to no clearance for the chuck. As a result, at times, I nick the wall or cock the screw, which in turn affects the positioning of the item I am fastening. Side Note: My main tool platform is 18V Makita and I have an M18 Milwaukee Hammer drill and Hack's All. I really didn't want to start a 3rd tool platform (M12) but this tool had what I wanted. Also, I've had my eye on the M18 Super Charger, which also charges M12 and I'm interested in the M12-3/8" Long Torque Wrench so I figured "go for it"! The drill is light, fits good in the hand, the push button w/lock option is handy and all in all it performs well. The first day I used it, I had a crazy situation where I had to install two self-tapping screws. The drill worked perfect so I had to take a picture :).

I always been skeptical about cordless tools, it was always air or corded tools. A friend and Milwaukee proved me wrong, own a full set of M12 tools, just added the Rotary Hammer, tried it and I loved it, did 6 holes 3/8" the same as using my corded, less the hassle of having a cord. Thank you Milwaukee.

I am a big user of Milwaukee tools. Much to my wife's dismay I own far too many. Until now I have always been well pleased with their performance. This unit however had issues from the start. When drilling a 3/4 inch hole through a 4 inch concrete floor the unit would bog down and some protective circuit would shut down the motor. The torque generated by this thing is so small it is almost useless. In comparison the Fuel Hammer Drill will twist your wrist off before it will stop. This unit can be shut down with no drilling pressure on the handle at all. Very disappointing. Returned to HD for a refund and will look for other corded options, as my cordless tools are all the M12 platform and I am not investing another fortune in a new cordless system.

This is an absolute jewel of a tool. Small, light, powerful, and priced right. If you regularly drill small holes (under 1/2 inch) into concrete/brick/masonry, this is a must have. The only one point (as in this gets a 99/100 score) that could be improved, is there is no anchor point, forcing me to bodge some way to prevent the tool from falling.
This rotary hammer has simply exceeded my expectations, and is an epic win from Big Red!

Great product from Milwaukee tools. I had much need for a smaller concrete drill to set smaller anchors
and use smaller drill sizes the m12 has a decent grip for access and ease with smaller job requirements from DIY to Commercial use the M12 has two Modes hammer drill mode and stand alone mode but comes with a nice 4 amp battery for good run time. when using it it drilled holes into hard masonry and concrete. One thing i would point out is the photo with this product showed a m18/ m12 dual charger but the kit came with a M12 only charger but that is a Minor issue great product Milwaukee tool
