Does this great fit in the end of schedule 40 pipe or does it fit into the coupler?
This is to fit into a 4"Sewer & Drain fitting, so for your connection you will need a 4" S & D fitting to Sched. 40 Increaser as in NDS part# 3P16
My drain pipes run horizontally. For best drainage is it better to set slots in the grate to be horizontal or vertical?
Your drain pipes run horizontal but you have a stubbed-up section of pipe in the vertical position, and this grate would sit at surface and would not have to be in a certain position to inlet water.
Will this fit inside a 4” pvc collar?
Hi Boathead, yes, the 4" PVC collar will fit inside a 4" S&D SDR35 pipe at the end of the bell end.
I have a house built in 1963. I need 2 replacement floor drain covers for the concrete floor in the basement. This seems like the correct diameter, but not sure if the 1.75" depth is too much. Can it be used for that? If not, what should I get?

My drain grates look just like this but are 3.5 inches in diameter will these fit or do i need 3" of something else?
Hi Jrod, you would need something else. The 3" white styrene drain grate has a width of 3.25" (I.D.)
Will this fit over a 4" pipe or slide into a 4" pipe?
This round grate is meant to go into a 4 inch Sewer and Drain fitting and not a direct pipe connection.
Nailcreek Village, have approx.84 downspouts extended into grass area with 4”pvc drain. Am looking for a Donut that fits around drain to prevent grass from over growing over drain.
