Works great. To complete the job I cover with a couple of layers of black tape.

I used two of these to mend some tears in a soaker hose. I used a sharp utility knife to cut the hose in each spot where there was a leak, and was able to force the ends (0.575" I.D.) all the way onto the barbs for a very snug fit. Instead of using the metal hose clamps, I used a pair of 8" ty-wraps to secure each connection (see photo). I think the ty-wraps work better than the hose clamps, which came with a non-standard-sized adjustment screw that didn't fit any of my nutdrivers. The price per fitting ($4.18 ea.) makes this a somewhat expensive repair, and if the hose wasn't already in place, I might have just bought a new hose. Initial tests, however, show the repairs worked.

Super easy repair...less than 2 minutes to cut out the damaged section, push both ends on to the mender, and tighten the clamps.

My hose began to kink and unfortunately it burst recently. I found these at in the garden area thought I would try to repair the hose. I cut out the kink and installed these two. As long as you do not over tighten, they work great!
