Is the threading in the unit made of solid metal I don't want threads that are plastic
I can't remember if the threads were metal or plastic. I do remember that the way they were attached caused them come off before the summer ended.
Where are these made?
I don't know the actually material that they are made from. In California though we have hard water, and the copper looking coating ended peeling off. I don't know if that is the answer you were looking for. So far my water nozzles have been made out of aluminum or plastic.
Are these "drinking water safe"? (I am going to use them to water my edible plants, so I don't want toxic stuff leaching into the water.) Thanks, Michele

There's a little catch latch at the bottom that's probably holding the trigger. It's there so you don't have to squeeze it long term. If you hold the nozzle upright and squeeze the trigger the latch will let go. Hope this helps.
Get a new unit. The internal sealing mechanism has failed.
