Questions & Answers

How do I get the sheet into the fixture?? The sheet seems about 1/4'' too large in both directons. Any tricks??

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We reached out to MFG for more information and below is their response. “ Our lighting panels are made to fit a standard 2’x4’ drop ceiling. If you are trying to install a replacement lighting panel into a lighting troffer, the panel may need to be cut to size to fit the specific model. · We sell a cutting tool specifically designed to cut lighting panels (SKU# 116491). can this be used under my range hood to diffuse the light over the stove?

Lower edge of Range hood is 25 inches above the surface of the stove. The hood light bulb is 24.5" above stove surface and is at my eye level. There is a 1/4" lip surrounding the hood opening. I would like to suspend a light diffuser over the opening. What do you think? The range hood opening is 23.5 x 17.5.

Dear Valued HomeDepot Customer, We reached out to the MFG for more information and below is their response. "Although polystyrene may work for this type of application, it is not the best option. Continuous high heat exposure, along with moisture absorption will cause the plastic to expand and contract, if expansion/contraction allowance isn’t accounted for, the lens could bow or crack. The continuous high heat exposure may degrade the polystyrene over time, which would cause yellowing. Glass may be a better option for this application, as it can withstand much higher temperatures, will not expand/contract, is non-yellowing and is much easier to clean."
