A:  Pole-Wrap is a premium hardwood paneling product that can be used for covering both columns and walls. It can also be used for resurfacing furniture. Pole-Wrap is applied with a general purpose construction adhesive and is not a peel and stick product.

A:  You might want to consider applying adhesive over some of the louvers to hold Pole-Wrap flat against them and prevent buckling.

A:  Although you can use an exacto knife to easily cut lengthwise between the Pole-Wrap slats, you will need to use a fine tooth saw blade to crosscut the width. Unless you are going to cover the edge with trim, be sure to make this cut as perpendicular as possible if you are going to cut while the product is rolled up. Many use a chop saw, miter saw, and even a table saw. A hand saw works well too.

A:  Pole-Wrap can be used for outdoor applications. But, like any other wood product, you must first carefully caulk around the edges and apply an oil based primer. You can then use either oil based or latex paint for your finishing coat(s). Be sure to use all exterior grade products to adequately protect the wood from weather. If you prefer a clear finish to show off the rich wood grain, use clear caulking and simply apply a couple coats of an oil based polyurethane or marine varnish.
