Great kit !!
18V Brushless Cordless SubCompact 1/2 in. Hammer Drill Kit with (2) 2.0Ah Batteries, Charger and Bag is a great kit !! This model is 30% less weight and 30% more compact. 3rd pic shows the size difference. This model is a bit quieter than my Gen5 drill/driver. I started with this platform and happy I did since it has the Lifetime Service Agreement; you must register within 90 days of purchase for free parts and service. I highly recommend. Imported.

Great Hammer Drill Set
I really like the precise speed control when I press the variable speed trigger. I tested the hammer drill feature by drilling through a 4-inch-thick brick with a one-half inch diameter masonry bit. It performed well on this test. I weighed the hammer drill on my scale and it weighed in at 3 pound 2 ounces.
I measured the power consumed by the charger with my power meter and the results were 43 watts while charging the battery and one-half watt when the battery was charged. This type of charger is a wall adapter permanently connected with a cable to a light weight base. I would prefer it if the battery charger was an all-in-one bench top charger with just an AC power cord to plug into the wall. Other than that, this is a great hammer drill set.

What a magnificent machine!
This RIDGID Hammer Drill is a treasure! The very handsome and handy case holds the drill, charger and TWO batteries; and according to the statement on the box, RIDGID will provide Free Batteries and Free Service for life. You need to register the purchase in order to take advantage of that. This beauty came in handy since I was just replacing some cedar deck boards. By using star-drive self-drilling deck screws, the drill drove the screws through the cedar and into the joists without pre-drilling and at unbelievable speed, setting them just below the top surface of the boards. The torque setting accomplished all of that with ease. I have never used a drill this efficient and comfortable. This RIDGID set you simply need.

Nice drill. Solid quality.
Top things I like about this drill. 1. Feels good in the hand. 2. Feels solidly made. 3. This kit comes with a bag, battery, and charger. 4. The charge is smaller than most 18v battery chargers which is nice.
It takes a little while to get used to the way it starts and stops or winds up and winds down. It’s fine, just different than my dewalts and Mikitas

Great Tool!
The RIDGID 18V SubCompact Brushless Cordless 1/2 in. Hammer Drill Kit is a great tool The drill comes with 2 batteries and a charger in a great canvas carrying case. The drill is well made and did a tremendous job putting in metal flashing with self tapping screws on a project we are working on. The drill is light weight and easy to handle. I would definitely recommend the RIDGID 18V SubCompact Brushless Cordless 1/2 in. Hammer Drill Kit .

Really nice kit
The quality of this kit is up to specification with all the other Rigid tools I have. It is really nice that it comes with two batteries and a charger since I can go through a 2 Ah battery fairly quickly. Now I can set one drill for drilling and one for driving screws without having to change bits, bit productivity gain. I just wish the bag had a way to strap the contents down instead of letting them go where ever.

Light weight and small
This 18 volt Ridgid sub compact hammer drill is smaller and lighter than my expensive 12 volt drill. I am impressed with the power considering it is a compact. I think I have a new favorite line of power tools. The kit included the 1/2” hammer drill, 2 batteries (2Ah), a charger and the bag. This drill is brushless and makes less noise while running. If you are going to only have one drill this is a very good one.

Compact hammer drill
This Ridgid Subcompact Hammer drill is light and easy to use. It comes with 2 batteries and a charger. The charger and the drill are backwards compatible with old Ridgid batteries, and the new batteries work with my old drill. The LED light is bright and stays on for about 15 seconds after you stop drilling, which is helpful. It comes with a separate belt clip and bit holder which you can add to either side. Ridgid has a lifetime warranty on the tool and batteries, and I've had good experiences replacing batteries in the past when needed. My very old Ridgid drill still works fine (in the pictures for size comparison), but this smaller one will be very useful.

Just in time
This Ridgid drill kit arrived just in time, as my drill driver of five years has developed a slipping chuck. I wanted a small general purpose drill driver, and this exceeds that. The unit comes in a nice, zippered canvas carrying case, along with 2-2amp batteries, battery charger, belt clip holder, snap on bit holder and life warranty if you register with Ridgid.
The brushless motor generates enough torque to notice when starting and stopping. Features include a built-in LED work light with a frosted lens that eliminates the blinding glare. The lamp can be switched on while the trigger control is locked. The chuck sleeve has a wide textured grip with a very smooth and precision feel to it. The ½ inch chuck has a firm snap and only requires one hand to lock. The same with the 22-step torque ring, which includes positions for drilling and hammering. The 2-speed switch is a bit stiff and is the only control not clearly marked with paint. The base has a place for tethering. Each of the batteries has a level indicator which the charger uses to indicate real time status of charge. Speaking of the charger while it makes use of a wall wart, the status display is intuitive and easy to read, something other manufactures should copy. The charger can be mounted.
In use the unit has a well-balanced feel to it, not only front to back but even side to side. The textured molded on grip provides a firm grip and some vibration isolation. The build quality is excellent with my only critique being the location of the bit holder. It protrudes from the side of the base, and I’m concerned the bit tips will catch on something. Of course, it can be removed if that becomes an issue. It did very well with drilling and will work great for the occasional hammering into mortar.

Awesome Drill Kit
This is my first Ridgid tool so having the two batteries with the drill made me that much more happy with this purchase. I'm excited to get on the Ridgid platform and try some of the other tools on this system. The Lifetime Service Agreement makes this product that much more appealing.
