        Pole bent on first use
Unfortunately the pole bent on first use (just from pruning a handful of branches from a single tree). See attached picture.

            Welp... it broke very quickly.
This pole saw was powered well, easy to assemble, and relatively easy to use. But also it broke within the first 20 minutes that I was using it. For being a tool that's the right kind of heavy at both ends, there sure is a structural weak point near the handle. The snap shows that the handle section seems to be entirely made of plastic.

                Ease of use
This pole chainsaw was very easy to use. Was trimming a 25 year old locast tree. Cut thru the branches with ease worked with it for an hour and a half and didn't use a quarter of the battery charge. Just keep chain lubricated and let the saw make the cuts. Did not have any problems with the pole as some people have reviewed. Just made my undercut then cut from the top. The saw did everything that it was advertised to do.

                  doesn't begin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With great enthusiasm for the light weight of my 2 Ryobi chainsaws, I purchased this useless product which does not assemble. At least I git it with battery so now I have a nackup 40V to charge while using my chainsaw. My advice: Buy yourself

                    Electric pole saw
I like it, plenty of power for my needs. I cut up to 8 inch diameter palo verde limbs, also some 4 inch mesquite branches. It gets a little heavy when fully extended but I’m a 72 year old man with some health issues. All in all a great product.

Plenty of power - easy to use
Bear in mind as you read this, that I am a 76 year old female – that becomes very important in determining the usability of products like this extended pole chain saw. Buying this was an extravagance for me because I already had an old electric "chain saw on a stick" that worked perfectly fine. But since I already had the battery and charger from my purchase of the Ryobi extended hedge trimmer, I thought it might be worth it to so if this saw might be a little easier to maneuver. I was not disappointed. While the overall weight of the two saws is almost identical, the balance is very different. Having the somewhat heavy battery at the far end from the saw almost acts as a counter-weight and I found it not nearly so tiring to use. As I observed earlier from the hedge trimmer, I am impressed with the engineering of the Ryobi products. I particularly like the style and location of the power switch. I did however find the handle not useful because of its location near the bottom of the pole so I removed it to get it out of the way. It's a lot easier to grab the pole further up and the rubberized coating makes that very easy. All in all, a great product. What would make this go from great to perfect would be if the saw itself was completely detachable from the pole – then I wouldn’t have to drag out another saw for the clean-up.
