works ok
Bought this brand since i have been through sll other out in thr market. This works ok , it does have a design flaw i never realized, everything you pick up gets stuck between the plastic cup and the filter vent.

A Ryobi product that sucks!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product truly sucks! I was amazed by the vacuuming power of this portable vac. I bought this for use in the garage and it’s perfect combination of portability and the convenience of being able to vacuum dry & wet material.

Gets clogged and stops sucking
Once the metal filter (that pulls the air and dust into the vacuum) gets converted with dust or hair being sucked in, the suction reduces to the point the vacuum can't suck up anything.

Good Vacuum But Attachments Don't Fit
The vacuum seems good; like other reviewers said, it seems like the metal screen clogs quickly but that seems due to design of wet/dry feature. My biggest problem is that two of the attachments don't fit. It seems that the crevice attachment and brush attachment are the same diameter as the supplied adapter (1-7/16"/36mm). Maybe I'm taking crazy pills but this is very frustrating. Please help.

More uses than just for a car
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for more than just our cars! It is now in the kitchen closet as we use it to pick up wet or dry foods in the kitchen, around the dog bowl and in all our bedrooms and living room. It sees more use in out house than in our car. So much nicer to use on moderate clean up vs. hauling out our full size vacuum. Ryobi for mobility and quick spot clean ups. The vacuum for a whole house sweep. Nice addition to our other Ryobi products at a competitive price. Easy to take fully apart to clean the vacuum parts.

A Do-All Hand Vac
Ever since by old dustbuster died I have been looking for a good replacement, and I found that and more in this Ryobi Hand Vac! It fits well in the hand and since I am invested in the Ryobi battery ecosystem already this was a no brainer. What I got was more than i expected: it is very powerful and the fact it does wet as well as dry is a huge bonus. I use it all over: in the house to get up spilled cat litter, outside to vacuum up small sweepings piles, all over. Recommended.

Stainless steel screen clogging up with debris
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this item couple weeks ago, overall very good tool, but it was returned for a bad engineering design. The small stainless steel screen above the filter keep clogging up with debris to the point it become useless to have it there. the fact you can't remove the inner chamber filter housing to clean it up is an other bad design. Had to used compress air to dislodge the debris, can't be doing this all the time. I bought the stick vacuum couple years ago an I wish I had returned too (for a different raison), not willing to do the same mistake this time. Ryobi need to do more trial on this vacuum and correct the issue.

After trying various Dustbuster models over the years, finally a brakethrough. I have already various Ryobi devices that use the common rechargeable One-Plus battery packs. This gives me the freedom when I run out of battery capacity, for example a major car interior cleaning job, to grab a replacement that originally came with my Ryobi power drill etc., and continue the job. The Ryobi One+ 18V Cordless Wet/Dry Hand Vacuum is extremely well made, and based on my experience with other Ryobi tools, should have a long lifecycle. One final observation, the perforated stainless steel fine grade filter is a very clever idea. 90% of the dirt that is medium to fine grade is captured by that filter, that is easily cleaned and protects and extends the service life of the replaceable ultra-fine paper filter. I highly recommend the Ryobi Wet/Dry Hand Vacuum. One item on my wishlist, Ryobi please sell a simple wall mount device with your future systems, shelf and workbench space are at a premium in every hobby shop!
