Q:Can l used this product on my flat front kitchen cabinets to update them to shaker style. The kitchen can become quite warm when the oven is in use. I also have concern with possible off gasing when the kitchen oven is in use.

Great Moulding
I have used this moulding for many projects. It works great. It's easy to cut, nail, paint or glue. You can use miter saw, hand saw or rotary tool. I used it to create a board and batten design in my bathroom and exercise room. I closed in the stairs under my deck with vinyl lattice and trimmed the seams with this moulding. All my projects worked out well.

I went into HD looking for some sort of thin lattice moulding for a board and batten project and I stumbled upon this. It was wonderful, very light and easy to cut and very easy to paint. After filling my nail holes I simply lightly sanded each board down before painting with everyday latex paint. I used a simple primed MDF for the top and it is the perfect look for our bedroom.
