          Helps Paint Stick to Plastic
I have found this helps enormously with my paint sticking to the plastic flower pots I paint. Without the adhesion promoter, the plastic primer easily scratches and chips off.

I purchased a case of this product to substitute for my old standby, Bulldog Adhesion Promoter, which I used to prep difficult areas to reach to sand in auto body refinishing (like door jambs) or on items that paint doesn't like to "stick to" like plastic bumpers and such. You then paint OVER this product with your color coats. The Rustoleum product appears to work (do it's job), but it is so incredibly thin (no "body" to it and will run incredibly easily) that it takes special technique to get it to coat without running down the slightest vertical surface. It's OK to work with if one keeps that in mind and moves the spray tip QUICKLY across the surface to avoid depositing enough product to run/sag.

We hear you! For the best results with Rust-Oleum Automotive Adhesion Promoter Primer Spray, we recommend holding the can 12 to 16 inches from the surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Make sure to keep the can the same distance from the surface and in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart to avoid drips or runs. Rustoleum

              Good stuff
Used when I painted the bumpers, mirrors and door handles on my 94 Honda Civic and worked great with the gloss black Rustoleum paint and clear coat I put on top.
