Poor results
I used Rust-oleum 2x primer and paint indoor/outdoor fast drying paint, 24 hours later gave it a second coat and the paint blotched badly the cabinet stinks a lot of paint 4 days later, sanded, painted again and still blotched

Let's see what we can figure out Jody. For best results using Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint, apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart until the desired coverage has been achieved. If a second coat is necessary, recoat in under 1 hour or after 48 hours. Do not recoat after 1 hour or before 48 hours, and do not sand before recoating. Give us a call at 800-481-4785 so we can hear more about your application and work to make things right.

The Finishing Touch My Project Needed
I decided to paint my old chest freezer and give it a new life. I loved the colors I chose but it needed a clear coating to complete it.

      Cap color IS TRUE!
I bought French blue Painter’s Touch 2X to repaint my old green KitchenAid mixer (after watching countless instructional YouTube videos). I’m extremely pleased and haven’t even applied the 2X clear glossy top coats yet! For anyone interested in this brand of Rustoleum spray, I can tell you the cap color is identical to the paint in the can. I first painted the motor cover and taped over the vents on the inside before reinstalling on mixer to paint. Photos show color.

        Excellent Spray Paint
I bought this paint a couple of weeks ago because my house was being painted and i wanted to use it on my exterior lights that were badly faded after being in direct sun for 16 years. Cleaning the lights took the most time…spraying with this paint didnt take long at all! The lights came out beautiful and we still have paint left over! Gonna knock the mailbox out next! I am no spray paint expert but i love this stuff!!

              My cans were horrible quality
The finish is rough and very much not gloss. I had almond gloss and a similar paint color in satin. The gloss came out dusty. Like a paint booth filled with dust that gets in your paint job. Reading reviews I see that others had issues as well. This has nothing to do with dust in the air or how far it’s held. The can is flawed. I’ll be using it as a coat and then sand and apply the satin color as a finish. The satin paint had a lot of orange pealing on the coat, but apart from that it looked decent and a lot better than the “gloss” I can’t recommend this paint based on my experience.

              Response from Rust-OleumSupportJul 26, 2021
We want to try to help, Jason! It sounds like you're experiencing dry spray with Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint. This is when the product dries before it hits the surface of your project. This occurs most often when users hold the can too far from the surface when spraying - our recommendation is 10-16" from the surface. Effects of dry spray can also happen when temperatures are too high or too low. You can try using a lint free rag slightly damp, and gently wipe the surface to remove the dusting. If it's still rough after doing that, you'll want to sand the surface with a 180 or 220 grit sandpaper and make sure it's clean and dry before recoating.
