A: Home Depot sells a spray paint that is designed for appliances. I would not suggest that you use this type of spray paint for your appliances. Purchase the spray paint that is made specifically for appliances.

A: Happy to clear things up! Rust-Oleum Universal Paint and Primer is One can spray from any angle. If spraying overhead, or whenever using an aerosol product, we recommend using some sort of protection to ensure no overspray ends up on you. Please also keep in mind that this coating dries to a hard, durable finish and is not recommend for use on flexible surfaces like fabric, since the paint can crack and peel as the surface moves.

A: I am NOT sure the can will spray in a horizontal position. You will just have to try it. Keep your receipt if you buy more than one can so they can be returned if it doesn't work. Otherwise, I do like their paint products.

A: I don't think you would be happy with the results if you tried to spray paint the chip. Home Depot does carry paint that is specially made to repair chips in porcealian. Check with the people in the paint department, they should be able to help you. Good Luck

A: There is a spray paint that is made just for bathtubs. I suggest that you go to Home Depot and purchased that type of spray paint. I would not use this spray paint to cover the chip in your bathtub

We used it on two oxidized aluminum window frames and it was excellent for the application. Our newly fabricated and installed (DIY) Arbor over the aluminum windows looked incomplete with the oxidized aluminum frames; a correction that was quickly achieved with this product. After a thorough dusting and washing we masked the glass and surrounding areas and applied the satin white primer/paint. It went on well and after two coats the windows looked new. We liked the results so much that we plan on doing the rest of the house's oxidized aluminum framed windows. See before and after photos below.

Bad sprayer design

I would not purchase any Rust-olium product with this sprayer design ever again. It clogs with no way of removing it for cleaning—even after wiping the tip as instructed. Result, wasted product that can't be used. Overspray is ridiculous. I estimate wasting 30% - 40% of paint in overspray. The second can I had to purchase to finish my project after the first can clogged, leaked like a sieve. Glad I had gloves on or my hands would have been covered.

while painting a table top on the second coat paint...

while painting a table top on the second coat paint dripped off the sprayer that left a big glob of paint on the finish, so how do you get rid of that without making a mess? you don't! had to wait for it to dry, sand the globs down and start over again, guess what happened on the next coat? yes indeed another glob, I gave up waited for it to dry sanded and painted with another brand, looks good now.

That is not what we like to hear, Larry! Make sure to shake the can of Rust-Oleum Universal Spray vigorously for 1 minute beforehand as well as often during application. This product should be held 8 to 12 inches from the surface. Spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Be sure to keep the can the same distance from the surface and keep the can in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart to avoid drips and runs. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5 Rustoleum
