Q:Can I use this on stucco?
    by|Nov 11, 2023
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  No. The viscosity of the product will not allow it to stay in a crack vertically. The Sakrete Non Sag Polyurethane would be a better caulking for this application.

Q:What color is it when it dries? The description says Gray, but the photo shows it is white.

      1 Answer
      Answer This Question

A:  In most cases the Concrete Crack Filler lightens in color from a dark Gray. We don't know what the specific color will be. We suggest to applying some in a small inconspicuous area before using it on the entire repair.

Q:Can this be used in the garage to close gap between floor of garage and interior walls?

        Answer This Question

A:  No. With this being dissimilar surfaces. It would be best to to back fill the joint with sand or backer rod to approximately 1/4" inch form the surface. Then apply a polyurethane caulk/sealant. Polyurethane is a very flexible material to allow for movement.

          It doesn't work
I bought two bottles this product. I used one bottle right away. I have to give 1 star because it doesn't work. One year on the concrete filler itself cracked and scattered around. I have to sweep and scoop them out from the original cracks. Unfortunately, I bought 2 bottles and I am not willing to use the second bottle. Absolutely useless.

I've used this product to fill sidewalk holes and cracks for my condo, when the condo association kept delaying the repair. It worked great. For larger holes, fill in a little at a time, or layer it, and let each layer cure overnight. We also used several bottles of this liquid concrete to connect 1" concrete pavers. We would squirt a glob in each corner and midway point, down near the bottom side of the pavers, to secure them, along with 1/4" plastic spacers, which gives you more time to do install the polymeric sand between the pavers. It also bonds one paver to another, without creating any issues with efflouresence. While this added some extra cost to our patio hardscaping project, as it took about 12 bottles all total, we have no issues with pavers shifting around even after a heavy thunderstorm. There are few drawbacks to this product, as it works well. In fact, the only drawback is that color matching can be an issue for some repair jobs, as this concrete is really just like the concrete vinyl patching products, and the finish is a very smooth, light gray finish. Not sure if it can be colored to match other concrete colors, but it seems doable. So, if color is a concern, do a test area first.

This product is easy to apply and hardens in the sun quickly. Easy to work with and does a wonderful job of sealing the cracks. Highly recommended for small and bigger jobs like a driveway with numerous crack lines.

I had two fairly large areas and a few fine cracks in a "cool deck" that needed patching. The larger area was larger than the recommended maximum size in depth and width, but having worked with Sakrete products in the past I was fairly sure I could get it to work. I was not disappointed. I cleaned and wet the surfaces first, then applied the filler. The filler has the consistancy of fine concrete and was easily installed with a putty knife. The patch I needed to make was about 1-1/2 inches wide and about 1/2 inch deep. It was easy to lay down and seemed to adhere well to surfaces. After it dried for two days the large patches did have a thin crack, which I expected, and the fine crack was completely filled. As soon as it stops raining, I'll go back and add a thin coat of filler to cover the fine cracks in the in the filler, a bit of paint, and all should be well with the world.

            Easy to use
This is an easy to use crack filler that works well. There's not mixing of any kind, just shake and pour directly into the cracks. You may need to reapply because of seapage--initial application fills the cracks and seeps under the surface to fill gaps. It dries to a gray/blue color, which happens to almost match my concrete. Picture 1 shows the cracks before application. Picture 2 shows same cracks after just one initial application (and finger smoothing).

easy to use to fill those cracks on driveway, sidewalk.....
I had several "lightning" cracks on my cement driveway and sidewalk. ready to use to fill those cracks. no need to mix it. no dripping. no messy. so convenient. just to shake first before to cut off the tip and squirt into cracks. it was a light gray color, naturally not match color of my driveway & sidewalk. No big deal to me as long as it was filled up those cracks. overnight it became hard as solid.

Does not do a great job
I have several hairline cracks on my patio cement that I used this product for. As it is drying I see that I am going to have to give it a second application on some of the cracks as a crack line still appears as it cures. It is recommended for cracks that are up to 1/4 inch deep and 1/2 inch wide, so if you have a larger crack you would need another product. It is easy to apply -- just squirt into the crack. A trowel is not needed. However, I think something else may work better that does not need a second application on such tiny cracks.

            Easy to Use Crack Filler
This stuff is so convenient. No more mixing up a small batch of concrete in the bottom of a bucket and then trying to trowel it into a little crack. This product from quickcrete flows well and the tapered cap can be cut to whatever thickness of bead you feel comfortable using, (like a tube of caulking). I have a light grey garage floor that cracked about a year after it was poured and I used this to fill it. It turned out well and I am very satisfied.

            Works great
All around my foundation I have small cracks where water and bugs can get into. This product is much easier to use than mixing a batch of concrete and trying to fill small cracks and gaps with a trowel. You do have to shake it for a while to mix it up, which is a little difficult when the container is brand new and full. Very easy to use and I didn't have any drips or spills that I thought I would get. It's a very light gray color, so keep that in mind if you are thinking about using it for cracks in your driveway or walkway that is a darker color.
