It's time to put a stop to weed-infested lawns - take action with Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed3. This weed killer and lawn fertilizer utilizes WeedGrip Technology to grip onto and kill the weeds you see and the ones you don't. It controls over 50 listed weeds, including clover, dandelion, and plantain. In addition, this product feeds to thicken your lawn and crowd out any future weeds. Apply Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed3 when weeds are actively growing and daytime temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 90°F. Make sure your grass is wet from dew or sprinkling, as this helps particles adhere to weed leaves to produce the best results. We recommend using a Scotts spreader to apply this product. For Scotts broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 3 ½. For Scotts drop spreaders, use a setting of 5. Do not water your lawn for 24 hours after application or apply if rain is expected within the next 24 hours. Do NOT apply to St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Dichondra, Lippia, Carpetgrass, and Bentgrass. One 14.29 lb. bag covers 5,000 sq. ft.

Q:I planted new grass seed about a month ago, it?s spotty, so I wanted to use this to control weeds where the grass isn?t growing. Can this be applied to growing grass seed after about a month or two when the grass that has grown is a few inches tall?

Answer This Question

A:  Wait to apply Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed 3 to your new grass until after the 4th cutting of the new grass. Grass is considered established when it has grown enough to be mowed (1/3 of the grass blade cut) 4 times. To apply anytime earlier risks damaging your new grass due to the weed control.

    A:  Scotts Turf Builder Weed and Feed contains fertilizer and a post emergent weed control. Scotts Step 3 is just fertilizer.

            Build your turf with Turf Builder don’t wait

                This product worked very poor.
                I applied this for back yard about a week ago. It killed some dandelions and some clovers and many grasses. And many dandelions and clovers are still grow too well. My backyard is now large areas of brown spots all over.

                  Mystery Grass turning green
                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My side yard has mostly mystery grass. Thus, I decided to apply to one area near the middle. I spread with a broadcast spreader trying to stay in middle area. Some of the green died out, but the remainder turned dark green. I like the product.

                    Weed Free Lawn less than a month.

Dandelions everywhere this year, and I would say 99.9% gone today 5/21/23. Other weeds in grass seem to be gone as well. Would highly recommend Scott’s Turf Builder Weed And Feeds.

                        Almost no weeds!
                        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lawn is lush and no dandelions / very few weeds. The grass grows sooo fast in the spring when fertilized that we do have to mow very often though! I always have a few yellow/bare spots from my dogs peeing but other than those small areas my yard is looking thick and green.

                          Great Results
                          [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not an overnight fix, it does take time but it works. First, you really need a spreader, it can be just a simple hand held one that you fill. Best to keep your pets inside until the dust settles, I used it in an area we recently reseeded that already was covered in dandelions and assorted weeds along with nearby established lawn that was more weed than grass. After spreading, you watch and wait, I did have brown spots over time because I really had more weeds than grass but now I was able to throw down new grass seed and get a better looking lawn. Feed your lawn not your weeds and see the difference over time.

                            Greatest weed killer and fertilizer on the market

From instructions to results. Apply to a damp grass so product sticks to grass blades. Don’t water for 48 hours. Then water and watch weeds die and grass get green

                              Great at Feeding the Grass. OK for Weed Control
                              [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great fertilizer, greened up my grass in about 7 days. The blades look very hardy and healthy. Spreads very evenly in my Scott's drop spreader. It also keeps common weeds (dandelions, clover etc) in check. My neighbor (whose lawn is adjacent to mine) is jealous - he hires a "professional landscaper" who can't eliminate his dandelion problem! However, it has done nothing for a weed I have in my front lawn, I believe it's wild violet. But I've had trouble controlling this weed for a long time.
