Product Details

Designed for use with the Siemens series of Gen Ready load centers, the Siemens GENTFRSWTCH automatic transfer switch installs inside the load center and provides an automatic means of switching between utility and generator power. When connected to a Siemens or compatible standby generator, operation is completely automatic. When used in conjunction with a Siemens Gen Ready load center, one enclosure replaces what has typically required 3 (load center, transfer switch and sub panel).

Q:My Sieman's gen-ready panel does not have a place to bolt down the transfer switch. I have the manual lockout switch in place right now but want to switch to the automatic control for a Generac generator. Is there a different version of this switch?

A: Manual override is accomplished by actuating the appropriate breaker on the lower side of the GENTFRSWTCH as installed in the Generator Ready Load Center (one is the utility input and the other is the generator input). Since these are interlocked, one will turn off and the other on.

Did not work for me

First of all the instructions are poor at best. I thought it might be me but I had an electrical contractor look at it and he felt the same way. Second i have a Gen Ready load center made by the same manufacture as this switch and it dose not fir into the panel. No place to bolt it down, also verified by the contractor. I am returning it.
