Decent quality fish stick
So I was excited about the glow in the dark feature in the title because it would be nice when you are looking in a small hole to be able to see where in the wall the fish stick and wire you are fishing are at. I am disappointed that the glow in the dark is nearly impossible to see at all. It is decent as far as its rigidity and the supplied hook and needle threader are good and adequate for the job. It just does not glow in the dark.

3 piece glow in the dark fish stick
This product comes from Southwire. It comes in a storage tube with eye on end for hanging in your shop or garage. It has three flexible 3/16” rods that actually glow in the dark. They are crack resistant. The rods are 5 feet long to make up to 15 feet of length for running wire or cable. Two attachments one being a bullet nose with eye and the other a hook. It is easy to assemble and use.

Nice set
These fish sticks are a great tool to have when the need to run wires in a wall or ceiling arises. The glow in the dark feature is a nice touch as it makes it easier to find them in dark wall tunnels and pockets. These sticks are quite flexible so if you’re looking for a rigid set these aren’t for you. There are three 5 ft sections and two s res on tips. A hook tip for fishing and grabbing a wire from a cavity, and a bullet point which is great for poking through insulation and thin drywall when needed. Overall this is a nice quality set that has come in very handy.

These fish sticks work great
We got the glow-in-the-dark fish strips to assist with chimney cleaning as we have 2 fireplaces in our home, upstairs and in the basement. We attached a Go-Pro camera to verify how much chimney cleaning we needed to keep the chimneys clean. We could not take photos of the chimney inspections since it's over 10 feet down, but we did include the glow-in-the dark photo vs. not glowing.

Nice to Have Electrical Fish Sticks!
There are 3 five-foot sections that screw together for up to 15 feet of reach. There is a choice between a hook end tip and a pointed tip with a hole for attaching wire. They glow in the dark to help when running through walls / floors. They seem to bend very well with no signs of fatigue in the fiberglass. I used them to run wire from a new wall electric outlet down through the floor into the basement to connect to a hot line from the electric panel. They worked well and much easier than my old metal fish tape. My next project is to run wire across my kitchen ceiling for new can lights – wish me luck!

Southwire 15 ft. Glow-in-Dark Fish Stick
The three 5 foot sticks come in a convenient plastic tube with removable caps to make carrying, hanging and storage easy. They are very light weight and easy to assemble to lengths of 5, 10 or 15 feet. There is a lot of thread on the ends so they connect well and a few wrong twists will not result in the loss of the sticks in the wall. They eyelet in the bullet nose easily fits one of the wires to ensure proper attachment of what is being pulled. The hook is useful for grabbing the rod as it passes the opening or as a convenient ‘handle’ to pull the sticks back through the hole. I left these out for just 5 minutes and they had a nice ‘charge’ and glowed brightly when pushed into the wall. I also could use my flashlight to put a small ‘charge’ on them on a dark and rainy day. I like this product very much and recommend it.

Great quality fish sticks!
Fish sticks are one tool that are a must have for pulling wire easily through walls and ceilings, and I found the southwire ones to be of high quality. The ends are tightly connected to the rods, and the rods themselves are extremely flexible and strong. Its nice have both the bullet tip and the hook tip on the other end for options with the wire you are pulling. I have had times when the hook end gets caught on something, and so I switch to the other end that is more streamlined for tight areas. The case they come it is made of soft plastic, with two compression fitting caps that makes for great storage. And yes, they do glow in the dark, which makes them easier to find on dark jobsites. All in all these are a great value for the money and should last for years to come!

Choose your length
Pulling wires through a finished home can be a challenge. While fish tape works well for long runs in raceways, conduit, and established paths, they can be problematic in cavities and when needing to go in a straight line. The Southwire semi-rigid fish stick provides flexibility without the tendency to curve like fish tape. It also eliminates the need for a reel, as the fish stick consist of just the sections that are needed. This Southwire provides 3–5-foot sections that are 3/16” thick for a total of 15 feet. The kit includes a clear storage tube with hanging cap, a bullet nose and hook attachments. The bullet nose allows for securing a wire through the attachment thus lessening the chance of the wire coming loose. The hook makes it possible to reach out and grab and pull. The glow-in-the-dark sticks makes it easier to see them when working in dimly lit areas. You’ll need to expose the sticks to bright light beforehand. In use I was able to perform a 180 degree turn without the stick splintering. Each end of the attachment collars is beveled to make getting past an obstacle easier. I like the option to only use the sections I need and to instantly trade out the hook for the bullet. That along with the ability of the fish sticks not to coil up inside a wall and go where you point them makes this a great tool. And yes in a dark attic or cavity the glow makes a difference.

This fish stick comes in handy when needing to thread cable or light tubing through a tight space, such as inside walls or a crawlspace. The glow-in-the-dark stick truly does glow. Although my one photo does not show this clearly because of auto-flash, I was surprised at the brightness of the glow because I had only had it in the sun for 15 minutes before taking the picture. It was solidly in the dark in our shed before that. Because it is thin, you do have to be careful not to overbend it or work too fast.

I really wanted to like these. But they have some flaws. The glow in the dark is nice especially when you're working in a ceiling or a floor. And the length is also good. I like that it gives you two different end options. Now to the negative, I don't usually wear gloves when fishing wire unless my rods are old and splintered. These rods gave me slivers right when I took them out of their tube. For me that's a quality issue. Do they get the job done yes, but I feel like they could be better made like other fish stick's I've had and used.
