The Sylvania SMART+ ZigBee Smart Plug is simple to use and easy to connect to your compatible ZigBee smart hub. Run your home on your schedule by automating devices you use every day and control them through your smartphone or tablet. Create schedules and automations to turn your devices on and off when you need to. The Sylvania SMART+ ZigBee smart plug is ideal for floor and table lamps, as well indoor holiday decorations, fans, and other small appliances. When connected to a compatible ZigBee smart hub (sold separately), use voice controls through Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant to turn your devices on and off. The OSRAM LIGHTIFY Gateway is not required when using a different compatible ZigBee hub. Sylvania SMART+ ZigBee products will not pair directly to voice control devices such as an Amazon Echo Dot or Google Home without a ZigBee hub.

Useful and reliable. Although this type of smart plug takes up more space than I like, I found that it was easy to add to my Wink 2 Hub, and works the way it should. I've used it only with lights, but am quite satisfied with the job it's doing.

While the outlet works well there was zero indication on the website or the outside of the box that it requires another item to be functional. I did manage to pair it with wink through a work around.

This plug joined my Zigbee network without issues and acts as a router to extend the network throughout my home. It has been reliable so far. My only concern is with the relatively large "footprint" that it takes. It must go on the top socket of a plug so as not to block the other available socket. This is a minor concern and is "as designed".
