About This Product

Talon's lines of power outlet panels are designed to meet the demands for temporary power at construction sites and recreational vehicle parks. For construction site applications, power outlet panels are installed for temporary use only until electrical power is available at the site. Recreational Vehicle parks use power outlet panels on a permanent basis as a power source for the RV's distribution system. A wide variety of configurations are available to address almost any application. Design options include surface (pole mount) and pedestal mount construction, with or without meter socket provisions, and top or bottom feed.

Q:Can this serve as a main (permanent) outside main braker panel? Or is this only for temporary use only?
by|Sep 28, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  This is a Main Lug unit and does not include a main breaker. Since it has less than 6 means of disconnect, it can be considered as Service Entrance equipment. Per the product cut sheet, it is Suitable for use as Temporary Site Service Equipment, Recreational Vehicle Supply Equipment, or Service Entrance Equipment when not more than 6 breakers are installed.

Q:Can a 100 amp meter be connected directly into this panel ?
    by|Feb 12, 2021
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Conceivably, yes, TL37US could be fed directly from the meter socket and serve as the service entrance. Please consult with a licensed electrician to verify compliance to local code as depending on which version of the NEC is enforced a single emergency disconnect may be required which would not be provided here. The device ships with a bonding kit loose inside the enclosure which would be installed for service entrance applications.

Q:Is both the 20amp and the 30amp outlets both GFCI protected
        by|Mar 29, 2020
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  No, the 30A is not. Consider TL3F7US which would provided a GFCI breaker to protect the 30A receptacle. The 20A is a GFCI receptacle protected by a standard breaker. Hello,

Refer to link. TL137US is wired for a standard residential 120/240 VAC 1 phase 3wire system. The factory wiring is between the breakers and the receptacles. The 14-50R receptacle is the only one of the 3 receptacles that would be wired for 240V by way of a 2 pole breaker. The TT-30R and 5-20R2GFCI receptacles are 120V each and use 1 pole breakers. You would have had to connect to a 120/240V system to get 240V on the 14-50R. We really need more detail on what connections were made and which receptacles you are referring to.Please feel free to reach out to Siemens Technical Support at 1-800-333-7421. We would like to help troubleshoot the issue you are having or provide a replacement unit if necessary
