About This Product

The 1/2 in. Tectite by Apollo Push-To-Connect x 1/2 in. MNPT Elbow is the fastest, cleanest and simplest way to create a 90 joint of any combination of copper, CPVC, PE-RT and PEX pipe without the use of tools, solder, open flame or glue. Simply insert the pipe to allow the high-strength stainless steel teeth to grip the pipe securely against the specially designed O-ring. Fitting removal and reuse is just as simple using a simple demount clip (sold separately). After assembly, fittings may be rotated for simpler installation in tight spaces. All Tectite by Apollo fittings are approved for use in both potable water and hydronic heating piping systems.

A:  Tectite push-to-connect fittings are rated for potable water applications up to 250°F. If connecting PEX pipe, install with the white tube liner inside of the fitting. If using copper or CPVC pipe, remove the white tube liner before making a connection.

Q:How do you remove the tube liner before using the fitting with copper pipe?
        by|May 16, 2019
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  The tube liner can be able to be pulled out with a pair of pliers without causing any damage to the stainless steel teeth inside the fitting. If you run into resistance removing the liner, just work it back and forth until it comes free. If you have additional questions about our products, please feel free to reach out to us directly at (888) 229-2874.

easy to connect pex or copper line to a threaded pipe in an angle. no need to solder or glue, just thread male end with a little plumbers tape and push new pipe in the other end. Great seal with no leaks.

Take your fittings with you and make sure the threads match before buying. Not sure if it was a stocking issue at my store, but there was a lack of consistency with the thread coarseness on these elbows.
