    Better than sweating pipe
Great products very easy to use and high quality material and parts. I've been using Propress products for years as a commercial journeyman plumber/ service technician with no issues. Make sure the fitting is fully seated and propress tool is properly aligned on fitting. No need for a positive shutoff that is needed when sweating pipe. Cuts labor costs at least in half! Great invention!

    Quick and easy install
The Plumber's Choice 3/4 inch ball valve double O Ring Pro Press is great for quick, easy, no leak installation. The ball valve is well made, good quality materials. These ball valves are a must have for any plumber. The Pro-Press Ball Valve is fantastic when you don't have the room for a torch, or you don't trust the shark-bit fittings. These make for a clean looking install.

    Valves
The Plumber's Choice 1 in. Brass Double-O-Ring Press Ball Valve (Pack of 5) are great choice for shutoff valves on 1 inch copper piping. These are best on hand drawn, straight runs of copper, not rolled copper spools as it can cause leaks from not perfect ends. You'll need a specialty crimping tool to install these which can be rented. The valves themselves are solid brass construction and heavy duty. The valve handle is easy to operate. Great choice for new or replumbing jobs.

Sturdy, great seal, double o-ring press valve
This Everflow full port Plumber's choice 1-1/4" lead free double o-ring press valve has been leak free from install. Easy install if you have the right tool (powered press tool is the only way to go - don't think they make a manual 1-1/4" press tool anyway). As with most ball valves the first open/close is stiff, but while still needed a moderate amount of force (it is a large valve) it opens and closes fairly easily. Nice to have this and not need to deal with fire/braising.

Seem to be usable but no instructions
It works like this in theory. There are two o-rings on each side. You slide the pipe in 1.5 inches in on each side and that appears to be it-but I am not sure. The valve is 4 inches long. Measure, cut, clean accordingly then push in the pipe. I saw no directions and on the Home Depot website, clicking on the installation guide link brought me to the year warranty statement. I called the manufacturer and Home Depot for support but after a week, I decided to do the review. How do you remove if you have to? You pull the pipe out again but obviously you have to have a bit more than 1.5 inches of movement to remove the pipe but if a compression tool is to be used, this may be a permanent install. Another reviewer said he rented a compression tool but it was not named in the review. That may or may not be the way it should be installed. I called the manufacturer asking if there is a compression tool to be used. I expect an answer along the way. These may have to be a one-time install which is fine but as I said, there are no directions. I am planning on upgrading the corroded hot water valves on my indirect hot water heater this weekend. What I like: this may be easy to install. What I do not like: it is a new product and it came with no instructions; I could not find any on the web or the HD site. I would have liked to have had some literature on "how-to" just in case I thought I knew something and didn't. For me, this product is a blessing. It is better than the soldering method and especially so if you find a leaking valve near or next to a joist or electric wires. These maybe the way to go for fast repair, too. I suggest cleaning your cut end or if you have a piece of pipe that is already cut, use a piece of sanding cloth to shine up, and wipe clean, before installing the pipe into the valve. I am sure the valve is simply stick in the pipe and go but old habits die hard. I think cleanliness is an important part of plumbing. That may go out the window if you have an active leak and you need to shut the water off, cut the pipe, and put in the valve. Cleaning the pipe was the way I was taught so I do it that way. What else? These are rated for temperature at 20 degrees to 300 degrees so these can be used on hot or cold water lines. Pressure rating is 600 lbs for water, gas, or oil, so I think these could be used on a boiler. I would be suspect just for safety for gas because an air or water leak is forgivable. A gas leak, not so much. So far I am still in the dark about whether all there is to it is pushing the pipe in or using a compression tool after. The warranty is a year.

    Heavy Duty
The Plumber's Choice 4 inch brass double O-ring press ball valve is made of high quality materials and construction. Its double O-ring helps sealing and prevents leaks. They have an excellent temperature range in which these valves are made to use, from 20 degrees F to 300 degrees F. They are compatible with both water and oil and have a one year warranty from the manufacturer.

    Smooth ball movement
Nice to be able to grab these in a five pack and save a little of the "each" price. These are solid valves, with a smooth and pro fit and finish, no rough edges like you'll find on the cheap stuff. The action is very smooth with solid stops on both ends of the 90-degree turn. Cracking it open the first time can take extra effort, so put it in a vice if necessary and run it through a close/open cycle before installing so you don't stress your pipe. The ball is lightly lubricated. I have yet to install them, but have no doubt the double-wall seal these ball valves provide will give me the absolute on/off control I need. Note: I received Everflow brand instead of Plumber's Choice, so I assume they're the same specs, though they do have very slight design differences.

    Better than the solder method
Am currently upgrading all plumbing connections prior to selling the house and was confronted with connections that were seeping green crust. Addressed the hard water issue and now addressing the crusted connections. Using three different sizes of ball valves depending on where the replacement being made (1/2" for faucets, 1" for water mains, 3/4" for risers). Information quote from a plumber was quite expensive, so took the alternate path of using these Press Ball Valves. Rented a compression tool to do the work, used the battery operated unit versus the hand unit as the battery unit head rotates to fit into smaller places. If you take your time and measure out what has to be cut, as these new units are bigger than the original valves, there is no problem. I even changed the color of the handles using a color dip patch product to match the instructions on how the piping works for the new owners. Additionally no problem with burning anything using a torch, or catching the insulation on fire. When matched the cost of having a plumber do the work with labor for soldering, The price was a little more than half the estimated cost because the valves are more expensive.

These are not viega pro press fittings.
These are knockoff pro press fittings, and they cost more then brand name pro press fittings. Veiga is the only approved fittings.
