The USG Donn Brand SDX/SDXL Acoustical Suspension System is the most widely used acoustical suspension system available. It is an economical, simple and versatile system that allows for maximum plenum access to utilities like electrical, plumbing and HVAC. Made with a galvanized steel body that inhibits rust, it is twist resistant, ensures paint adhesion, and offers a clean look without exposed steel edges. It also offers appropriate load-carrying capacities for acoustical panels, light fixtures and air distribution elements. Ideal for the commercial remodeler or do-it-yourselfer, the system has a patented quick-release cross-tee clip for easy installation and provides a square, sturdy ceiling that can be used for fire-rated or general applications.

Rick There is no limit to the number of main tees hung end to end as long as the hanger wire does not exceed 4' o.c.
ScottB- The USG Donn brand grid system was acquired in the 70's and has/is manufactured in Westlake OH. If the grid you have is only 20 years old, it should be compatible.
Dennis- You will need to call or stop by your local Home Depot store to see if they are able to assist you with this request. For any other questions call us at HomeDepot.com Customer Service 800-430-3376.
James. Yes- proudly made in the USA. Thank you for choosing USG Donn Brand Suspension systems for your projects.
Barry Thank you for your inquiry. USG Donn grid is not compatible with another manufacturer's grid. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your inquiry. You will need 12' main tees, 4' cross tees, 2' cross tees and wall mold when installing 2' x 2' ceiling tiles. You can view the installation instructions by going to usg.com and entering WL1419 in the search box. Hope this helps.
I don't recommend anything more than at 4 foot intervals for main tee supports.
Steve Thank you for your inquiry. Hanger wires supporting main tees should not exceed 4' o.c. Main tees can be spaced 4' o.c. For sloped ceilings us our SB2 Sloped Ceiling Bracket to attach the wall mold at an angle. Hope this helps.
For a pro yes, you have to cut the tabs a certain way. An Armstrong dealer is your better choice if you have to do a decent amount of repairs.
