I've had this washer for just over a year and now it does not work. It seems to enter flood mode every time we use it and must be unplugged after every use. It is no longer useable and will try to drain and fill at the same time. How can this be fixed?

This is confusing as one part of this description does not say you can remove the agitator and make it to an impeller like some of the whirlpool washers but when you go to the further description it says it gives you the choice. Which is it?
