The vents are well made and serve the purpose intended. Installation was simple, although on an insulated door it takes a little care to get everything lined up properly. The only downside is that the supplied bolts are too short to work on an insulated door, and they are metric... Of course the local store doesn't have metric carriage bolts, and going up to 1/4" bolts isn't ideal, they are tight in the holes. I am using these for intake vents on a spray foam insulated metal building. The spray foam is great, but the shop needed a little air flow to keep moisture and stale air out. These vents on the front and a turbine vent in the roof at the back seem to be working well. Not a lot of air flow, just enough to give some circulation, and I can pretty much shut it down by closing the louvres.

This product looks good and was easy to install. Customer support is great. It does not lower the garage temperature enough to notice. I only recommend it because it does vent the gas and exhaust fumes from the garage. If you are trying to lower the temperature you best look at a active vent fan.

I have been looking for garage door vents for quite a while. Something other than keeping the door elevated to let air in (but also let unwanted guests in). This satisfied my needs. Installation was straight forward and the directions were as well. I used an angle grinder with a cutting wheel to cut the hole in the door and it worked great for me. The directions and website say to mount them in opposite corners , up and down, but I put both mine down low. My guess is that high and low brings cooler in low and exhausts the hotter out up high. Perfect if you have a two story house and no roof vent. I have a roof vent. Also I installed mine in the second layer panel from the bottom to avoid any chance of the thickness of these vents from interfering with the safety beam that goes across the lower opening of the garage.

    VERY GOOD PURCHASE
A little expensive; but very satisfied with outcome. I wish I had these vents installed earlier. Helps cool the garage without having to leave garage door open during the hot months. The next step will be -to install an exhaust fan.

    Results of installation
Easily installed. I also installed a whole-house attic fan over the garage. Working together, the temperatures in both the garage and the attic are lowered. Both vents were well made and will resist damage and deterioration for many years.

      Useful
My garage needed this because it is in Texas, and because my clothes dryer vents all that warm and humid air into the garage. I also have a fan in the garage plugged into a smart outlet. Installation took longer than I thought. Vent handles stick out a bit longer than I like.
