Quart size bags tear waaaay too easily, right out of the box

I bought a large pack of multiple boxes of the quart size bags from one of the big box stores and thought I might have just had a bad batch in the first box. Having just started my 3rd box out of the pack, it continues to happen. So I googled reviews and this is obviously a major problem. I have been using Zip Lock bags for many years but have to question if I want to chance them on my next purchase - "fool me once..." I would like an explanation as to what you have changed or where you had these manufactured.

Torn tabs are frustrating

I usually go with the "Brand Name" bags just for peace of mind, but this last box of bags were terrible. The cheap brand doesn't even tear as often as yours. Over half of the tabs tear off on the initial opening. I will be switching to a new brand for next buy. Where do you manufacture these now ? Wherever it is you need to change back.

I've used these freezer bags for a number of years, and I've seen the quality change. After my last purchase of a package of four quart-size boxes I wondered where the bags are made. I was surprised that neither the outer box nor the four individual boxes provide this information, which is important to the consumer. Are they made in USA, China, Mexico?

When this bag doesn't split at the seams it's the best you can buy! But the splitting seam has been happening much too much and for this reason they are getting VERY expensive!!! Ziploc needs to find out why before it's too late!!!

What have you done to the freezer bags?!

I just opened a box of the gallon freezer bags and they are awful! The bags are not as thick as they use to be. I use these a lot, as I use them for storage too. You charge a lot for these, they are no long worth it, why did you have to change a perfectly good product? Companies are always trying to save money and they cheapen the product. Ever heard the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. Please go back to the way they were.

Is there a secret to opening these bags without having them tear? I have to struggle to just get them open and have yet to find a way to do so without having them split and become unusable. I'm now looking for a new go-to freezer bag and it won't be ziplock. The gallon bags have the same problem by-the-way.

Of my last case of quart Ziplock freezer bags. At least 1/3 of the bags split at the opening where the thick ziplock part meets the thinner part of the bag.upon pulling it apart to put contents in the bag. I don't know why I'm paying a premium price for a bag that apparently doesn't use quality control in it's manufacturing process.

Sides ripped out of every other bag

Pull bags from box and open to put stuff in. These bags rip down the seems along each edge. I have been using these bags with my Sous Vide for years without any issue. Now I don't trust them enough to chance wrecking my families dinners.

The tops of the bags rip off when trying to open them and the sides slit open as well. Will no longer buy what used to be the top brand. Based on the other comments I am not alone. Rather than an I am sorry email, would like to see the company fix the issue.
