A:  The “A” signifier only refers to the shape of the bulb, regardless if the bulb is an incandescent, CFL, or LED. The number that follows the “A” signifies the bulb’s diameter in eighths of an inch.

                              A:  Old fashioned incandescent bulbs won't light up if there's only a small amount of electricity running through them, so you would never notice this current, but LEDs are much more efficient and apparently are getting enough power to run.

                                Q:Under Specifications it clearly states these Ecosmart 100 Watt equivalent A19 bulbs, "Not suitable for totally enclosed fixtures", and yet in the Q&A Ecosmart replies that they are safe in enclosed fixtures. Could someone please clarify?
