A:  The actual wattage of this bulb is 9-watts. As long as you do not exceed the ceiling fixture's wattage ratings, this bulb is okay to use.

A:  If the bulb can be used in enclosed fixture by 108V~132V and suitable for the dimension on fixture, it can be used in a 40W rated fixture.

A:  Insects are phototaxis, so it's unavoidable. It is recommended to be used in unsealed lamps that can cover a little.
