Q:Should I be using 36" or 42" post for a 36" railing?
by|Aug 29, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  The 36" posts should go with the 36" railing. The post top actually goes to 39" so makes a nice low profile. The 42" should be used on the 36" stair rails.

    Answer This Question

A:  Ted--I am assuming that this is a wooden/TimberTech deck. On a residential deck you need to use 5/16" x 6" Exterior Torx/Star Drive Construction screws. If this is commercial use 3/8" x 6" Exterior Torx/Star Drive Construction screws

A:  Great question. This post fits the 36" Aria Deck Panel. The Deck Panel is 36" tall. This post's measurements are 39.5" tall. The top of the post sticks out higher than the railing as you can see in the pictures.
