Answer This Question
A: Depends if you're using a light/white or a dark color. Poly is not recommended for light colors due to yellowing. Poly on dark colors are safe. As for the time, I'm uncertain .

A: Hi Painter, thank you for your question. If directions for the polyurethane recommend that the paint has cured, then you'll want to allow 7 days or more before using. Have a great day! -Giovanna

Q:Is this paint oil or water based? And what sealant do you recommend?
by|Jan 15, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hi Ramon, thanks for the question. The Cabinet, Door & Trim Paint is water-based. Actually, a separate sealer isn't needed, as the paint dries to a hard, durable surface. If you want to add a sealer over the paint, I'd recommend using a water-based polyurethane. Have a great day! -Ronald

Answer This Question
A: Hi there NDLadybug, thanks for the question. The Cabinet, Dorr & Trim Paint could be used to paint the exterior of the home, but the entire surface would need to be primed first before applying the paint, A better suggestion for painting the exterior of your home would be one of our exterior paint & primer in one products such as our Ultra Exterior Paint & Primer in One. If you have further questions about your painting project, please reach out to us directly; our customer care team is happy to help. -Ronald
