A: Anything outdoors will be affected by the elements without proper protection. Cedar is naturally resistant to wood rot and decay, but we do highly recommend applying a clear waterproofing deck sealant as soon as possible before or after assembly, and at least once a year after that.

Q:How large does the space need to be for this set, including stakes? I know the dimensions of the set are approximately 10 ft x 9ft, but do you also need 6 ft all around? 6 ft front and back?

That is correct. You will need 6ft all the way around, making the unit 23'- 4 7/8'' x 22'-1 1/4'' .

Q:Our son is soon-to-be six years old. He asked for a play structure for his birthday. Do people who bought this think he'll get some use out of this for a few years? He's a "clubhouse" sort of kid, so I want to be sure he and a friend can fit in the clubhouse portion for at least two years.
