A: Yes the brackets stay attached to the wall and you can easily slide the rod up through the opening on the bracket when not in use

A: The rod is easy to remove if some lateral clearance is provided between the brackets. If there is low clearance the rod can still be removed but with difficulty.

Q:What is the load capacity for these?
by|Mar 29, 2016
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: The load capacity of this bracket is subject to the condition of the drywall it is being installed into. If installed into drywall that is at least 1/2 inch think and in good condition, using the anchors provided, then the bracket should be able to withstand peak loads of up to 45lbs vertically applied.

A: I don't know what rod the company recommends, but a good 3/4" piece of pvc fits perfectly in the space allotted. A 1/2" piece would also work, albeit not as well.
