Q:The ClosetMaid video that discusses wall types and fasteners is a bit misleading. It uses the term ?pan head? screw, but the screw shown in the video is a flat head countersinking screw. Some people may use the incorrect type of screw based on this.

A:  I don’t know what a pan head is but I used normal flat heads.  My closetmaid shelves have been up for 3 years and remain sturdy. No issues.  I hope that helps.

    A:  I have installed three in my home and I have found that the screw head will not make any difference because the way the assembly comes together

                A:  Hello, This item does not include hardware. FOR STUD INSTALLATION: Secure to wall with #12x2 in. pan head screws directly into studs. FOR CONCRETE INSTALLATION: Drill 0.25 in. holes and insert #12 wall anchors. Secure to wall using #12x2 in. pan head screws. FOR DRYWALL INSTALLATION: Drill 0.5 in. holes. Remove toggle from bolt. Insert bolt through hole in standard. Re-attach toggle and insert toggle into wall. Tighten bolt to secure to wall. Thank you for your inquiry.

                      A:  They dont list that anywhere but if properly secured into studs, at least 100 or more. Definitely enough to hold clothes and a light - somewhat heavy boxes

                      A:  Buy a stub detector. You can mount it to the wood stub without the horizontal bar. The weight depends on the shelf (wood) and the distance between the racks. I put 16" space with wood shelf can stand 20 lbs.
