Q:Anyone have issues with the 2 little metal brackets failing? I just got this and they don't seem like they'll be very sturdy...especially when pulling plugs out of a GFCI outlet.

A:  Hi RinOak, the steel brackets when used with the self-tapping screws mounted on the back of the box have a greater load rating of pulling plugs out of the device. The aluminum box threading, if not completely threaded, would most likely be the issue over the steel plates. The over issue could be what you are mounting the box with the plates too.

                Q:Are the sides of this box made of aluminum or some kind of plastic/PVC? Or is it PVC coated aluminum? I need an exterior weatherproof box that can be side mounted so I'm wondering if I can make my own side holes

                A:  Hi JohnC, the box sides are all aluminum. Do not make additional holes since it will void the UL Listing and may not pass inspection when you sell your home.
