    Answer This Question

A:  I have not observed any sound, hum or otherwise. I am using mine with a conventional switch, though I intend to replace said switch with a nondimming smart switch to tie into my home automation.

A:  Mine do not hum or buzz.

A:  No the bulb does not hum or buzz. I have not used it with a dimmer so I can't speak to how it works with one.

A:  I installed it within a few minute, very useful, that's very great.

A:  You need only 1 dimmer switch in the circuit. In fact I do not think it would work with 2 dimmers. You can keep the original other non-dimmer switch.

          Q:Is this lightbulb damp rated

          Answer This Question

A:  I bought these as I wanted a "daylight" brightness to a basement office. They worked well for that. I don't recall seeing anything labeled for damp locations. In fact, I have never seen lightbulbs with that kind of designation. I would just look for bulbs that can be used indoors or outside.

A:  Thanks, I ended up buying an indoor outdoor bulb. Seems the damp rating has to do with the fixture rather than the bulb.

A:  I used my as a flag light. I purchased a spot light which gives you directional lighting. You will need a flood light.

A:  Works excellent for Restroom. You can really see details in the mirror.

                by|May 30, 2021

A:  Yes, this led bulb would output enough light to cover an 8 seat dining table at 4 feet above the surface. This assumes that the table in question is less than 10 feet on its longer side and that the light fixture does not cover the base of the bulb with an opaque shade.

A:  The BR30 family of bulbs provide more than a 45 degree beam angle. At just 4' above the table, your circle of illumination would be about 3.5'. Possibly just a bit larger. Can you raise the lamp fixture? Or be prepared to sit really close together in a small circle.
