Q:What is the Maximun battery that will work with this vacuum? 3, 4, 5 AH to obtain the maximum running time?

Answer This Question

A:  All the above you mentioned will work. Not sure about the larger batterys 6, 8, 9, miliamp. But my guess is that the larger ones will. Nice little vac for small jobs. Don't expect it to have the same power as a shop vac. I use it for saw dust mainly.

by|Jun 10, 2020

A:  They all work with all cordless Dewalt tools. The 5AH will last longer but is adds more weight.

by|Nov 26, 2023

A:  Any of the 20 Amp and FlexVolt batteries will work with the "Max" tools. The greater the Amp Hours (AH) the longer the run time. Maximum run time would be obtained by using the FlexVolt batteries, they are available in 6,9,and 12AH. Or, you can use the cord if an outlet or generator is available and not worry about battery run time.

A:  All sizes fit. I always keep 5 amp hour battery in mine

A:  20 volt max 5ah

Q:Thought it was the switch or in line fuse. Still broke

Answer This Question

A:  We would have to have more info. Is the receptacle you plugged into working? Is your battery charged? Some vacs have a safety switch that shuts it off if you are sucking up water and it gets full. Some turn off if the filter gets to plugged. There are lots of "could be" problems. Has it ever worked? Is this new right out of the box? If so, I would take it back and just get a new one!

A:  Awesome I love this thing

      by|Jul 14, 2020

A:  If you are trying to use it cordless (without plugging it in) then the battery made be low/dead. If it doesn't turn-on with the switch by battery or cord then the product is malfunctioning. You'll need to replace it. I use mine very often, both corded and cordless.

Q:Are there more nozzle tips available for vac? ( brush, narrow tip for cracks)

          Answer This Question

A:  There’s a narrow tip in the handle but no brush

          by|Apr 29, 2020

A:  There is a crevice nozzle contained within the top handle assembly, works well, nice design.

            by|Apr 28, 2020

A:  I'm pretty sure you can buy other tips separate, I love the vacuum itself except the fact that decide clip that holds the vacuum together has broken off every time I've exchanged about 5 vacuums

              by|Apr 27, 2020

A:  The hose tip is 1 1/4" diameter and works with many vacuum tools. The included tools are rectangular nozzle (5"x1") and a crevice tool. The vacuum works great for small volume pickup in places like the kitchen and small messes in my shop. However, I do not think it would be adequate for using wand extensions with a full size floor tool. It does not move enough volume for that job.

                by|Apr 25, 2020

A:  There is a narrow nozzle tip for crevices. This is storage mounted in and part of the carrying handle. There is also a wide attachment ( non brush) that is storage mounted on one end of the unit.

Q:Is the electric motor brushless? I can only hope and assume it is based on price, in comparison to other well known manufacturers, ie makita, ridgid etc, also if I do commit to this vac can I use my Dewalt 12ah flexvolt batteries that I have 13 of??

A:  I would contact Dewalt to obtain exact information concerning the motor. I use 18volt and 20 volt batteries for mine. The older 18 volt will require the adapter. I purchased mine for small shop use, but mainly to vacuum my interior. The blower part works great to dry off my Harley. I use the electrical cord to get more power when needed

A:  I can’t say for sure but I personally wouldn’t. I have a few different vacuums, from the one above to large shop vacs and every time any grease accumulates inside the tubing or filter, it stops working properly and eventually stops all together. Kinda like arteries clogged with fat.

A:  No, this vacuum is not intrinsically safe.

                                  by|Sep 15, 2024

A:  I don’t think I would. Even though the filter is washable, I’m not sure if it would hold up well. And I don’t think it can be rated for “intrinsically safe” either, at least with my limited knowledge of what that means.

                                  by|Oct 25, 2019

A:  I wouldn't count on it sucking up oil. Good for small debris.

                                    by|Oct 24, 2019

A:  I doubt this would work as the filter will clog very fast and you will lose your suction. I use mine for ash and have a sock over the filter and it still clogs pretty fast and that is with dry particles.

A:  For it’s size it has good power, it’s a small vacuum and has a 1” hose. Can’t really compare with a 4 gallon shop vacuum with a 2 1/2” or 3” hose.

A:  It's a light duty portable shop vac. Great for cleaning up light shop dust or cleaning HVAC and especially for vacuuming vehicle interiors. I do know with the vac plugged in it seems to have more power!
