A:  No, it is for a sink with overflow. There is a couple of inches between the flange inside the sink where the stopper sits and the big nut and rubber washer under the sink. There are holes in the main tube of the drain kit to allow overflow water in.

A:  I just used the 100 Silicone sealant in the tube. I think we used to call it RTV. It was whitish. It turns kind of rubbery in 20 minutes or so.

If it is difficult to turn, carefully soaking the area with 50/50 white vinegar and water can help remove mineral deposits to more easily turn the aerator.
