Q:Do you sell just the shoe moulding? My semi-circular riser (10 3/8" diameter) is already in place but the floor refinishers tore up my shoe moulding so I just need to replace that, both left and right.

Q:This Oak starter step with bullnose is facing two different ways in your pictures. I need the bullnose to be on the right side, and your color picture shows it on the left side. The drawing with measurements shows the bullnose on the right. Which is it?

A: Specify the side when you order. Installed starter step (left hand) 2 years ago. Adds a very nice, finished look to my staircase.

A: Hi Dominic, good news!
This is a reversible tread. It is 1-1/32 in. thick and can be applied to a left-hand or right-hand staircase configuration.
I hope this helps!

Q:We're redoing our stairs and will use the prefinished red oak treads with the white risers. How do I match those finishes on this product? Poly? Varnish? Satin or Gloss? What color paint?

A: Hi Suise, thanks for the question. We are not experts in finishing or matching pre-finished colors of stain. We recommend you consult with the experts in the Paint Department to get their recommendations on how best to match the finish on your treads. If you have additional questions, we'll reply as quickly as we can. Thank you!

A: You can get samples and test pre finished stain colors on a different piece of wood to get a similar match and then apply that and once dried apply a water-based polyurethane to seal the stain color

Q:I only need the riser, Can I purchase only the riser to cover my current curved riser? OR, does this come as a kit where the tread and riser are separate?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Renogirl, the riser can be ordered separately, but it is a special order. Visit the Customer Service desk of your local Home Depot store. The store will provide us with the details so that we can provide a quote. Thank you.

A: Riser in kit would be too thick to use as cover for an existing riser. Sounds like you need a thin veneer.
