Q:Do I have to thin out liquid rubber for this machine?

A:  Are you trying to spray liquid rubber or liquid rubber plasti-dip for cars and such? Without knowing the specifics of what you are trying to spray I am not able definitively answer this question. If you could contact our technical support staff at 1(800)328-8251 with the specifics of your material you are wanting to spray they will then be able to give you a definitive answer.

    Q:I am looking for a good quality sprayer some recommend the 3500 but I want something a little higher quality for long lasting use. will this be a good choice?

    A:  Latex paint and Plasti-Dip re two different thing. Latex will need about 10% thinning, Plasti-Dip will not require any thinning. Use the 1.5mm needle for the Plasti-Dip.

    A:  Latex paint should be thinned about 10% with water to spray nicely through the 5500.

    A:  Yes, strain it first and then pour it in your gun and it does it’s job

      A:  You can, but make sure you clean it right away or you'll be replacing the gun.

          Q:I refinish kitchen cabinets. Will this unit spray Zinsser 123 primer, latex and chalk paint unthinned?

          A:  This is perfect for cabinet work. 123 should spray just fine, latex should be thinned about 10% and chalk paint about 30%. To spray un-thinned paints look at our 6003 model HVLP.

            A:  Stain, shellac, lacquer, poly and paint can all be sprayed using the 5500. No special materials are required.

              A:  It wouldn't be a good idea anyway, unless you have 110 wiring at home. Ghana is rated for 220.
