A:  I'm just a fellow HD customer so I really can't answer for them but I can speculate. My guess is that probably 95% of the people buying this sink would be using it as a drop-in. Elkay is famous for that. So, think of an analogy like an electrical rough-in box. If 100% of them were used on white receptacles, they would probably prepackage a white receptacle with each box they sold. But only 8 out of to are used with the receptacles. Some are white, some are ivory and so on. The rest are usually switches. The bottom line is that you have choices and you've made a GREAT choice with this sink. It's great and it should last 100 years or more.

In the couple of days since my question, this sink is no longer available at homedepot.com and I will have to select a different sink.

A:  Yes. This sink can be installed from above or from below. The dimension of the interior of the sink is 29-13/16" x 16-9/16" x 9". The dimension of the sink including rim is 33" x 22" x 9". The sink will require a bead of caulk to prevent water from entering the cupboard.

A:  No, min sink base would have to be 36".

A:  The dimensions show the under cabinet width to be less than 30 inches. Without seeing your particular cabinet, I would think it should fit. My one small concern might be how sturdy the cabinet will be after cutting that much from the top. A quality cabinet should be okay, but if it is pressboard bargain cabinet?? I once installed a porcelain sink (heavier than a porcelain toilet) into a countertop. I did some reinforcing and it was fine, so you will likely be okay.
