Answer This Question
A: As long as it can be fitted on to the discharge line yes it is a sturdy check valve and can work.

A: Yes, but why would you need it? The utility sink pump comes with a check valve.

A: Yes it definitely can. And I would recommend it. The check valve that comes with that utility pump is garbage.

A: Of course. This is a check valve. It has little or nothing to do with the pump that’s responsible for running water through it. It’s purpose is to stop water from dropping back down into the sump (due to gravity), once the pump shuts off. Without a check valve, pumps will cycle far more frequently and often times even hiccup continuously..

A: Hello JoeA. No, this check valve cannot be used for that pump. It is designed to be used with sump pumps.

Answer This Question
A: Hi Robert. Yes it is. Our testing has shown that this valve produces decibel levels lower than the sump pump check valves marketed as "quiet".
by|Mar 15, 2023
A: Not quite sure what you mean by "quiet". There's a slight clunking sound when the valve closes once the pump shuts off but it's not annoying. It's no louder than the sump pump.

A: Not sure why this would be used on a sprinkler system. Keep in mind the inlet and outlet sizes are large and it needs to be installed in a vertical position.

Q:Can I install the check valve horizontally?

Answer This Question
A: I would not. The valve moves with gravity and water pressure. Placing horizontally will open the valve. When the water pressure pushes on the valve with enough pressure it will likely close but less pressure may allow the valve to stay open.

A: No. This has been answered multiple times.

A: Hello Joseph. We recommend that this check valve be installed in the vertical position.
